enjoyed this cruise. the only complaint was the cabin had two portholes for a window and we were told we would have a large window. the cabin was smaller than the other cruise ships that i have been on.

Eastern Carib from Baltimore by greyhawke50785

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Excellent boarding and departure procedures at Baltimore port, smoother than Cape Liberty in Bayonne. Smaller ship allowed for getting to know people. First time using My Time dining and highly recommend it.

Good time, good service....... by waltmanj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had a good time on the cruise. It was our second time on the Grandeur of the seas..... The bands were very good the comedians were fair....... I think that the service was very good. The staff was very attentive to your needs........... The ship is showing its age and several things were out of order...... One Hot tub wasn't working...... several toilets throughout the ship were out of order............ The mattress needs to be replaced......... THese were small issues compared to the overall good time that we had...

Summary of our cruise by polarbearinmd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Things changed since our last cruise on the Granduer 2 years ago.  The entertainment shows were cut 2 nights and on two other nights had only 1 show which took place while we were eating.  The    soft ice cream machine did not work properly the whole cruise.  It was so soft that  once you put it in the cone, it was melting all over the place.  When the wind jammer closed at 3 there use to be lemonade, ice tea, water and flavored water, outside on both side of the pool deck.  This trip there was only water available and no ice.  I got food poison for 2 days and my husband had a slight touch the last night.  Our dinner reservations were mixed up but were fixed the second night,.  Yhe snack food every night was terrible.  Pizza was half baked and most nights the cookies were raw.  Our excursions were the only positive thing, other than our waiter and assistant waiter at dinner were fantastic.  We were very disappointed on this cruise.  Will not return to Royal Caribbean.

Outstanding Crew. Unsatisfactory Ship. by stuber3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Crew was excellent, especially in the dining room.  We were at table 415, late dining.  2 waiters and head waiter were very attentive to wife's special needs.

Stateroom was terrible.  No space.  Our 3 pieces of luggage fit inside of each other and still, as one, took up half the closet space. Wife's long dresses laying on the suitcase.  Little couch for barley 2 people with a 12 inch diameter table.  Bathroom was so small you couldn't bend over without bumping your head on the tiny sink, with water flow so slow you couldn't tell it was on.  Circular shower about 24 inches diameter.  Don't drop the soap.  No room to bend over or stoop to pick it up.

Wonderful Experience by vickiecroley

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The food was amazing; the staff was wonderful.  Everything was clean and well maintained.

It was one of our best cruises ever!  We have cruised twice on Royal Caribbean and three times on Holland America.  I'm not sure which we prefer since they are both wonderful.

Had a great spring get away by lwbwelton454

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had fun. The ports had lots to do, the crew took care of us. And we didn't have to get on an airplane. We spent a lot of ship time around the adults only solarium. In Cozumel, we went on a Mayan ruins/island tour. In Grand Cayman we went snorkeling & kayaking. Jamaica was the Green Caves and Dunn River Falls. Haiti we spent plopped by the beach.

Review of 10 day cruise to San Juan, P.R., Haiti, St. Thomas and St. Maarten in early April 2015. by 4thCruise1stRC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The cruise was virtually on time for the entire schedule. There was only one delay in de-boarding the ship at one of the ports we visited, but it was tolerable enough not to spoil our day. The food and the dining service was excellent, and the range of dining venues was very good. The cabin attendant was excellent. The entertainment was first rate and plenteous. Activities were also plenteous and varied. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The entire crew was appropriately attentive in all the important ways. The shore excursions we took were enjoyable and educational. We liked this cruise at least as much as any of the four previous ones we have taken. They are all pleasant memories in our relatively limited cruise experience.

Easter/ Passover Cruise by ambfpb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Cruise took place over the Easter /Passover break so there were many families and about 300 children. The kids were everywhere. It was expected.

The Ship was well maintained. The food was good (escargot every dinner). The stage shows were OK. They usually had one headliner(not a variety show). The staff was excellent. We had been to the ports before but we did find things to do. Remember it was a holiday weekend ,so some stores were closed.. By the way there was a priest and a rabbi on board for services. Look, we wanted a convenient port and sun. We got it. We thought the music was great. The Rosario Strings played heavenly music!! Royal Caribbean tries really hard to please. Leaving from Baltimore, the first and last sailing days are seasonal in temperature  but there are ways to keep entertained. That's about it. There were 2100 passengers on the ship and 1,100 were Royal Caribbean repeaters. That sums it up

magnifier glasses by sousanvasigh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our experience with Royal Caribbean was great but with Cruise.com was not. We booked and paid for 2 cabins with windows but got only one with windows. We have been told that we would get $200 on board credit and only got $100. Over all we have been very disappointed with your website and will not use that again unless we get what we have been promised and told to get. What is wrong in here is that your representative will tell you something and as soon as the client agrees and gives the credit card number things will change. They send you a 10 page email about the trip with fine lines and you think you don't need to read all that and you should trust what the representative told you, WRONG. so my advice to my friends and family is that don't trust what they say and get your magnifier glasses and spend 3 hours reading the email they send you and don't give them your credit card numbers until you finishing your assignment. Or just forget about Cruise.com and move on to some other website. thanks. One disappointed former customer.

Big surprise of how this small ship is wonderful! by idohair4u

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We went on the Grandeur March 31, 2015. I knew it was a small ship, the smallest that I have ever been on , and was a little concerned about there being enough to do, rocking, etc. What a BIG surprise! I LOVE this ship!  Smaller means less people, ALWAYS something going on in the Centrum, easy to get around, a cozier feel, if that is a way to put it haha. This ship does not disappoint!  The musical entertainment was superb at the nightly shows and more so in the centrum during the day and evening. I was amazed after being a little let down with these things on other ships in the past.  The nightly shows were fabulous, except for the first night comedian, He was so bad people left and they could have let him off before he even got on they way most of us saw it. Not even REMOTELY funny.  Our stateroom was exceptionally clean I am the kind that takes my lysol spray AND wipes and does the whole room before  I touch anything. From the drawers in the whole stateroom to the shelves in the bathroom to the top of the closets, I got nothing!  I mean not even a trace of dust!!  Kurt, our cabin steward, was wonderful.  Room service was top notch, as was everyone we came in contact with. The photo gallery guy was not real friendly, but he was ok.  I can't wait to travel on it again :) My last RC cruise on the explorer a few years ago was a nightmare. Worst cruise ever. So bad I said never again to RC.. but this cruise surely changed my mind!  LOVE the Grandeur!

This was the first ship that we took our son and his wife on years ago. This cruise brought back soo many great memories of that cruise. The ship, food and service was all 5 star.  We look forward to many more cruises again on the Grandeur.

Great experience by elizanrobert

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The cruise ship was smaller than I expected however it didn't bother me at all. I actually was very comfortable letting the kids be on their own because we were able to find each other much easier on the ship this size. All the activities on board were phenomenal!!! There was always something to do for people all ages. The kids club was great!!! My daughter wanted to be there all day long. The staff was super nice in all departments. Our waiter, Alex from Peru, was the most wonderful person in the world. Even though the food wasn't a 5 star quality every day, Alex made our dining experience a 5 star!!!

At every turn we met with professional people who really made us feel special.

ahem, I really don't like being told how long my endorsement must be.  So, here I am filling space. with banal chatter.

Convenient,pleasant, relaxing trip by LithMil

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My husband and I enjoyed our 10 day cruise to the Western Caribbean.  Departure from Baltimore was very convenient and quick - it was fun to see our car parked in the lot from the dining room where we had lunch. The first three days were at-sea and would probably have gotten a little boring, except for our meeting great new friends (dining table partners) and running into some prior acquaintances. The staff were very pleasant, efficient, and helpful - all were intent on making the cruise enjoyable and fun. The food was very good - both the selection (which varied every night) and the preparation. We enjoyed eating in the dining room because it was less frenzied than the Windjammer buffet. I think in the future we will try to book cruises with more on-shore days and less days at-sea.
