This was the first time on the Eurodam; I have been on the Oosterdam twice and the Westerdam once...my favorite is the Oosterdam. All of these ships have the same layout. The Queen's Lounge on the Eurodam was extremely cold and was having mechanical difficulties. Lido and room svc food cold.

Try to keep a positive attitude and not let small things bother you if you encounter those types of situations as you are bound to run into some people who will make it their goal to "be first" or feel it is there personal ship.

If you are mobility impaired, please reach out to HAL before booking this (or other same class ship). It was just not laid out properly to accommodate a wheelchair.

Holland America generally has an older clientele. If you are looking for a "party boat", then a cruise line like Carnival might be more to your liking.

For example: If you can afford it, get a Neptune Suite. It is like being on a different ship from the rest of the passengers.

+ We celebrated on board the 300 Voyage for this ship & it showed every bit of aging in all aspects . + nightly entertainments were so bad that they beg for laughs . So cheap stuff that's hard to believe presenting in such a premier cruise line . Director of entertainment MUST be let go.

They have daily Mass available which was a beautiful bonus for us. You don't have to eat in the dining room on formal nights--the buffet dining room is open.

Holland America actually provided a free shuttle into Rostock and a free boat shuttle over to Warnemunde. A shore excursion was not needed. However, this wasn't known until after the deadline to cancel booked shore excursions had passed.

The cabanas are so popular, you really need to reserve one for the entire week right after you book your cruise. The Retreat area is slightly more expensive but it is much more private and quiet.

Consider open seating for dinner...we had no problem being seated for dinner in a timely manner when we used open seating.

we ate at all three specialty restaurants , they were exceptional, I really like having a Catholic priest on the ship

If you want a quiet drink before dinner, go to the Silk Den, best views, and usually uncrowded.

Don't go on the Eurodam until they retrain their staff and find a fix for the vibration.

The Eurodam music and dance entertainment had talented performers but the show seemed hodge podged without a theme. The band that performed, "B.B. King Band" from Memphis was very good but was on a very strict schedule.

Read the negative reviews, they are all true. Really surprised by the number of positive views.
