New Years Cruise

Sail Date: December 29, 2012

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Suite

This was our 3rd Holland America Family cruise with over 20 family members cruising. The overall luxury experience is what keeps us coming back. Every staff member you come in contact with is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.
Ship Quality
Newer ship - only 4 years old.
Food and Dining
Scheduled dining times begin too early. Consider the open dining option.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
A highly efficient, but stealth stateroom crew. They somehow know your schedule better than you.
Children's Programs
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
George Town, Grand Cayman
Tendering made it difficult for shore excursions. Holland America refunded the shore excursion for those that couldn't tender.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Rent the Clamshell unless you want 100% sun exposure.
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
West Bay is where to head.

Tip

Take advantage of the concierge service provided in the Deluxe Verandah Suites. The Neptune lounge is a gathering place for family and new friends. The concierge staff will get to know you and be sure that every want and need is completely taken care of for you.
