Wonderful! by tripp27905147

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my first cruise and we really enjoyed it.  A special thank you to the staff at Chops restaurant,  they really went out of there way to make it a very pleasurable experience. (food was excellent) We actually ate there 3 nights in a row and the staff was hugging us on the 3rd night.  I will be back.

3rd.time on Enchantment by midgenfrank

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We are booked to go again in Jan., about 100 people in our group. Loved the food when I cruised in April however this month's food was just not good. The breakfast in the dining room came out cold and the dinner's were only ok. I talked my husband into this Nov. Trip mainly because of how wonderful the food was prior. The cut backs are quite noticeable and truly not looking forward to our Jan. Cruise.

Dissatisfied

Bar Services by cmkulp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Everything was wonderful however the bar service was very poor!!  I don't know if they were short staffed or if the customer service behind the bar is just failing!  Very disappointing.  Hope the future cruises don't have the same problem!!

Our first cruise!! by mshaffer600

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My husband and I took our first cruise through Royal Caribbean Oct. 13, 2014. Our only regret was we did  not book a longer trip. The staff we're all amazing! Never been treated so wonderful ! The entertainment was great. Windjammer was our favorite for meals. The main dinning was good but we preferred the more causal setting. Enjoyed our day at Cocoa Cay on the beach and the wonderful lunch. The games were fun to watch as well.Manny took care of our room! We had outstanding service. He was always friendly and smiling. Our room was kept up fantastic! CAN'TAKE WAIT TO BOOK ANOTHER CRUISE! It will be thought Royal Carribbean.

I would take this cruise again by fundingsource

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

It would be difficult to exceed the bang for the buck you get with this cruise. I have taken more than a few cruises, usually with Carnival, but I would have to say I enjoyed this one the most. spending a full day on CocoCay as well as a full day in Nassau made this trip different than others I have taken previously. it was nice to not be rushed at each port and every employee we had the pleasure of dealing working on this cruise were all fantastic!

Friendliest Ship in the Caribbean! by reeleyfun

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had the best time on the Enchantment of the Seas.  All of the staff was outstanding.  They spoke with every guest and truly worked to make every guest feel special.  The kindness was contagious and guests seemed to be friendlier to each other.  The food in the dining room was excellent and the on-board shows were well above our expectations.  We have cruised several times with different providers but this cruise convinced us that Royal Caribbean is a cut above the other discount cruise providers!  This was also the first time we had ever stopped at an island owned by a cruiseline.  I had always avoided those itineraries because I thought that there would be limited value in the stop - But I was wrong!  It was just like have a beach day but without sharing the space with the masses.  They had nice lounge chairs on the beach that allowed you to set in the shade and enjoy the serenity of the beach.  The ship provided a bar-b-que meal on the beach for the guests and there were activities and music if you were looking for those options as well.   I would travel this same ship again if I was looking for a quick get-away or wanted to add a different dimension to my week in Florida.

Great trip! by Mathenbe

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

While the ship is an older one and the smallest one I have sailed on recently, I found that the customer service was excellent. The cruise director was the best out of all my cruises. He and his staff packed so much to do in this short cruise that there was always something fun going on. The food in the main dining room was good. I enjoyed every meal that I had there. The windjammer was not that good but ,it is after all, a buffet. Some of the best food can be found in the solarium at the Park Cafe.

I stayed in cabin 8089- midshipman interior. While small and showing some age it was adequate for our needs. If you like to sleep in you may want a different location as we could hear the deck chairs being moved around at six am each morning.

I highly recommend the day pass from the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau. For 62.00 we had use of the beach, pool, chairs, towels, snorkel equipment and food. (You get a 40.00 food voucher.)

We went scuba diving in Coco cay. It's an easy dive and since it is early morning you still have all day to relax on the island.

Overall this was a great vacation at a great price.

Lovely Cruise by seahorse23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It was a wonderful cruise the staff, the food was great. Only wished they would show a nice movie like the add I saw on TCM of the different activities they will have on their movie cruise. Of course, I will never make that cruise, but for us seniors who loved the golden Hey Day of Hollywood it would be great to cater this to the seniors and not just  the current activities they have for the young.  The smoking in the casinos is a difficult to manage  but other than this it was a nice cruise.

nice mini vacay! by lucycannon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I did not like the pre cruise experience due to lack of manpower of preboarding (port canaveral).  The traffic going to the boat took forever because of traffic there at the port itself. But overall we enjoyed the cruise itself and will go cruising again next month.

First Cruise- Good experience Looking forward to another by Mrshobie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first Cruise and was an overall enjoyable experience.

We had a Balcony room and after looking into some of the internal rooms, no way we would ever go any smaller than a balcony.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Our room steward was awesome, we needed a extention cord for my husband Cpat machine and he was quick to fulfill the need.

Food options were above average but not as grand as I expected. Dinner options were really limited especially for the less than adventurous taste of my husband. I was a little disappointed in the level of "dress" I witnessed at dinner, even when the daily itinerary clearly stated no shorts. We even skipped formal night because our husbands had no ties.. when clearly their dress shirts and pants would have been acceptable based on what we observed.

One thing I personally found amazing was the the LACK of chocolate on the dessert options. I was looking forward to some decatant  chocolate desserts.. there were none, there wasn't even chocolate milk.

Our visit to Coco Cay was just "OK" we had para sailiing reservations that were canceled prematurely. Yes there was some threat of bad weather but by 1PM all was clear and the water and wind calm, but the boats had left so there was no one there to take anyone out... We also wanted to rent jet skis.. that was a no go too because it was low tide.. so we really didn't get to do anything on the island. they didn't even rent rafts that day...

Nassau, we had a tour of the city that was too rushed and frankly disappointing. we were to go to 2 forts, the Queens stair case and supposedly Atlantis. we were given less than 20 mins at each fort, and all we saw of Atlantis was the entrance to the Casino and we spent our 20min looking for water. which we spent about 5.50 a bottle for..  I found the city to be dirty and not really inviting for tourism . We did have fun at Senor Frogs though. food, drink and fun was the high light of the day in Nassau.

Enjoyed our time on and off board. The food was delicious and the wait staff was cordial. We felt like we got our monies worth. However, did not feel comfortable booking our next cruise on board. We felt very rushed.

Fun, lots of fun by jsullivan14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This ship had an excellent Diamond Lounge. Lots of fun activities from Ping Pong to informal dancing.

we missed prunes and dates for our breakfast.

We are a little tired of jugglers and of course there was one . The singers and dancers in this ship were better than the ones in the Vision of the seas.

Girls cruise on the Enchantment of the Seas by franciscj2002

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

There are so many things to do that we could not get to everything.  We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back maybe on a longer cruise next time.. There was so much interaction with the employees and travelers from dancing to serving.  Everyone was very nice and helpful.  We loved the Dolphins Encounter and the Glassbottom boat ride.  Would recommend this cruise to anyone of any age.

Best Little Getaway!!! by bunbunbaby70

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I decided to take my best friend on her first cruise and celebrate my birthday at the first time. I have cruised many times before but only once with Royal Caribbean. I was pleasantly surprised with my cabin and all the entertainment on board even though this is one of their older ships. They have updated it to have more of the amenities that some of their larger and newer ships have. I chose to pre-pay gratuities, but found myself giving additional tips, because the staff was AMAZING!!!. I also pre-purchased a drink package which was great. For $60 I was able to enjoy premium coffee and teas from Starbucks as well as their pastries, all coke a cola products, bottled waters and juices for the entire length of my cruise. It was well worth it to me and I also got a nice souvenir cup as well. The food whether formal dining or casual was wonderful and of course there was an abundance of food to choose from. I enjoyed the clubs, the shows and the ports of calls. I actually didn't purchase excursions just because we planned on making it a beach day at both Nassau and Coco Cay. We walked to the beach in Nassau and it was great, only 10-15 min walk from the port and then had a bite at Senor Frogs (a must stop). On the private island of Coco Cay it was beautiful to have a place only for the cruisers of this ship to relax and spend a day of leisure. They had games, music, beach BBQ and lots of things to do, see or even buy at their very own straw market. If you are looking for something quick and fun I recommend a 3 or 4 day cruise with Royal Caribbean to the Bahamas. I had a wonderful time and it was inexpensive and convenient. Even the boarding process was quick and easy and that is usually the thing I hate most about cruising, but they have found a way to make that pleasurable. I am planning another one for next year with a group of my girlfriends. And I can't wait.LoveBig SmileHappy
