Review summary

We had the best time on the Enchantment of the Seas.  All of the staff was outstanding.  They spoke with every guest and truly worked to make every guest feel special.  The kindness was contagious and guests seemed to be friendlier to each other.  The food in the dining room was excellent and the on-board shows were well above our expectations.  We have cruised several times with different providers but this cruise convinced us that Royal Caribbean is a cut above the other discount cruise providers!  This was also the first time we had ever stopped at an island owned by a cruiseline.  I had always avoided those itineraries because I thought that there would be limited value in the stop - But I was wrong!  It was just like have a beach day but without sharing the space with the masses.  They had nice lounge chairs on the beach that allowed you to set in the shade and enjoy the serenity of the beach.  The ship provided a bar-b-que meal on the beach for the guests and there were activities and music if you were looking for those options as well.   I would travel this same ship again if I was looking for a quick get-away or wanted to add a different dimension to my week in Florida.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the dining room was excellent. The proportions were good but not too large to feel uncomfortable eating the entire meal.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were plenty of offering to keep busy on ship. We personally like the casino.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We were fortunate to get a guest entertainer - Mr. Lou Gazzara one night. He was outstanding with a fabulous voice. He had quite the range - Sammy Davis, Steve Perry, Frankie Vallie and Elvis just to name a few. He also performed on opera song that brought the room to it's feet!

Children's Programs

Didn't use

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Abraham Lincoln was our stateroom attendant and he did a fabulous job. We also enjoyed Marvin as our dining room waiter and his assistant Nitish.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was just updated a year or two ago and nothing seemed to be worn or in disrepair.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Area we were located was very quite and didn't get any noise from the hallway.

Ship tip

This ship is not a megaship, so it is easier to get around because it is well laid out and you are not in a group of 5000.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Easy access from the Orlando Area. If you have never been to Kennedy Space Center - that is a great place for a day trip after the cruise.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the peaceful, relaxing experience.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
We got a very humid day in Nassau, so only being inside or in the water was comfortable.
