A fantasy come true! by LouL

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was a gorgeous floating paradise for this landlubber! I loved the breeezes, the pool, the excitement of the casino, the excellent food and the fantastic shows. I think this ship was the perfect choice for a first time cruiser, and I absolutely enjoyed it fully.

a nice cruise by YelenaA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The absolute best was all waiter services during all day anywhere we went. The least expected was lack of entertainment after dinner hours for people over 25 but under 55. Since we were already dressed up for dinner it would be just logical to continue evening by visiting maybe a thetre with a comic show or an adult game as we did only once during whole cruise(that was really funny)... I don't regret going on this cruise, it's definitely a lifetime experience but I would not recommend it to my friends for the reasons listed above. Regards, Yelena A>

A wonderful, "Enchanting" cruise!! by TimF6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first cruise. My wife and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary and later we decided to take our 2 boys along with us. They're 18 and 14. We had a superior oceanview balcony stateroom. it was wonderful and a lot more spacious than we had expected. We all stayed in the same room, my wife and I on the queen-size bed and the boys on the fold-out couch. Our bed was very comfortable. The boys' only complaint was that they were not used to sleeping together so cover hogging was an issue. Other than that, no complaints. There was lots of places to stow our stuff. We had come aboard with 7 full-size suit cases and 4 carry-ons. Everything had a place in that room and all the luggage fit under the bed. We were amazed. The ship itself was beautiful! We were on a 5-day cruise and I don't think we saw all of it. There were beautiful ocean views everywhere you went. Everything was sparkling clean. We ate in the dining room for every dinner. Our waiter, Jose, was the best!! He was very attentive to our needs. Our assistant waiter, Wesley, was great, too. They were very personable and very willing to talk to us about their families, how working on a cruiseship works, how it affects their family lives, etc. It was very interesting. My wife and I decided to go to Chops one night because of all the reviews we had read about it. The kids decided they would eat at the Windjammer buffet that night or order room service. At the last minute my youngest son decided he would rather go to the dining room so he put on a shirt and tie with dress pants and headed down by himself. He was the only one at the table and Jose and Wesley really took care of him. Let him try whatever he wanted and if he didn't like it, gave him something else. They really went above and beyond the call of duty that night to make him feel extra special. I will always be grateful for that. As far as Chops goes, I though the food was great and the service was wonderful, however, I didn't think it was any better than the service or the food in the dining room and I didn't think it was worth the extra $25 per person for that. Though my wife and I did enjoy the quieter, more romantic feel of Chops as compared to the dining room. The shows were great and they had quite a variety. We didn't go to all the shows, but at least one of use was at everything, I think. For those of you with kids, they have some great structured activities for them. They separate it out into different age groups and do events and things with them, scavenger hunts, etc. my youngest was in the 14 to 17 category and they did a lot of parties, arcade things, etc. He even won a Royal Caribbean shoulder bag at the scavenger hunt. There are many activities on the ship for all ages. They have bingo almost every night and of course the casino was fun. My wife and I played bingo to win a free 5-day cruise for 2. She only need one number and someone bingoed before her. Oh, well, it was still exciting. And finally to our stateroom attendant, Esther. She was just excellent. She was there whenever we needed her with a smile on her face and accommodated our every need. She, too, was very personable and willing to have discussions with us. She really did a great job with the boys in making them feel special. She did extra special towel animals for them and they really loved it. The only negative I can even think of is that the pools didn't seem to be heated. Now, I say that with the understanding that I like a pool to be like 85 degrees or better, but to me these pools were quite cold. My 14-year-old certainly didn't seem to mind because he swam every day and every night.

The ship was enormous!!! It was absolutely amazing. When you walk on the first day the view is spectacular. The way the ship is designed makes it easy to find everything you are looking for. Everything was clean and the staff was always ready to help make it better. This was by far the best vacation I have ever taken.

Just average by Ir

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

This is my 2nd cruise and I was very disappointed with Royal Caribbean (my last cruise was with another company). We felt like the goal of the staff was to sell us extras - drinks, photos, souveniers, trips, etc. They hounded us everywhere! The facilities were clean, but the hot tubs were just warm and some of them didn't work properly.

We had a wonderful time. The weather was bad at the beginning of the week and the captain changed the schedule so that we would get the most fun and the best weather at our stops. The food was great and the staff was wonderful.

A New Year's Cruise to Remember by GordonB2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We have cruised a number of times over the past 20 years, including other RC ships. For my wife and I, this was the best overall experience of those cruises where just the two of us were sailing. The ship itself, the staff, food, entertainment and other activities...even the other passengers...were all highlights. RC's focus on families was clearly demonstrated, as many, many groups of families were on this ship and sharing a terrific experience. We plan to do the same with our family as soon as we can.

Most relaxing vacation by LisaF6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Enchantment of the Sea is a wonderful ship for anyone. This trip was just me and my husband; next trip may include mom and dad. This was our first trip, therefore, a lot amazed us that might not be amazing to others. The beauty of the ship on every deck was remarkable. Whomever decorates the ships knows what they are doing. Although we only had an inside stateroom, for two people the space of 140 sq.ft. was plenty. All our stuff fit in the closet and other spaces provided. I was expecting a loveseat, the room was provided with a single chair and a desk chair instead. We missed our dinner reservation the first night waiting for our luggage, but they accomodated us with dinner at the second seating. Our stateroom attendent was remarkable, remembered our name each time he saw us, made those towel animals, fixed our TV remote that did not work our TV, and found two glass shelves for the medicine cabinet that were not there when we arrived. Simply amazing! We stopped at three cities with excursions at each one. Two of the stops the excursions were delayed due to the crew did not get everyone off when they expected. This caused us to have less time to shop after our excursion. If you get an inside state room be sure to bringn a plug in night light, there is a night light but it is right next to the bed. We put ours above the desk to find our way around and still get sleep. We will do this again.

"Wonderful Cruise" by StacyB3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

This was the 1st time cruiser for us, but i was told to only cruise with Royal, My other family members who live here in Florida came along with us on the Enchanted of The Sea, "Wow" is the word, we love the pampering and the surprised every night with the towel animals. The Staff were wonderful, they went the whole way out to make our trip the most wonderful vacation ever. Our kids enjoy the anytime snack bar, we enjoy the wonderful dining in the " My Fair Lady" every night, as well the activities were well planned and the dancing under the star were wonderful. Cocacay was night, time for some R&R(Rest and Relaxation) on this island, if you want some quality time with family, this is just prefect. nothing but just beach and sand. Key West was good, but just as any other tourist shopping spot, if the is what you look for.

The best vacation I have ever been on by MarkZ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean

Definitely the most relaxing and wonderful vacation I have ever had, Royal Caribbean did an excellent job of making sure me and my family were having a great time. The food in the My Fair Lady dining room was the most exquisite and fresh meal I have ever eaten, as well as the best service in a restaurant I have ever recieved. The food in the Windjammer marketplace was also quite good, although not as good as My Fair Lady, the marketplace still offered a wide variety of food and enough to quench even the most insatiable of appetites. The pool deck was an amazing place to be, especially with the wonderful live music and sometimes even dancing! The activities planned were well organized and very fun as well as age appropriate. There was something to do for everyone, leaving no age group out, which was another important aspect of the cruise that seemed outstanding to me. The stateroom was always in top shape and there was an amazing cleaning service team, who all did an excellent job as well as provided us with a very warm and friendly environment. (the towel animals were also quite entertaining) This is the first cruise we have ever been on, and after this experience, it will most definitely not be our last.

Unforgettable Vacation! by JenniferS12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My husband and I went on our first cruise together on the "Enchantment of the Seas". Every aspect of the ship was great. Whether you want to relax indoors or sit out in the sun, there is something in store for everyone. Our first day at sea was overcast, so we signed up for a wine tasting seminar and some Bingo! We enjoyed our nightly routines of going to the "Champagne Bar" before dinner, then sitting with the wonderful people who we were matched to dine with, and ending the night with some Black Jack in the Casino and dancing in the Viking Crown Lounge. Between the impeccable service, beautiful ports, and activities for all, we will be sailing our next cruise on Royal Caribbean. Whether you're young, old, traveling with your family, or even solo, we would definitely recommend this vacation to all.
