The Enchantment of the Sea is a wonderful ship for anyone. This trip was just me and my husband; next trip may include mom and dad. This was our first trip, therefore, a lot amazed us that might not be amazing to others.
The beauty of the ship on every deck was remarkable. Whomever decorates the ships knows what they are doing. Although we only had an inside stateroom, for two people the space of 140 sq.ft. was plenty. All our stuff fit in the closet and other spaces provided. I was expecting a loveseat, the room was provided with a single chair and a desk chair instead.
We missed our dinner reservation the first night waiting for our luggage, but they accomodated us with dinner at the second seating.
Our stateroom attendent was remarkable, remembered our name each time he saw us, made those towel animals, fixed our TV remote that did not work our TV, and found two glass shelves for the medicine cabinet that were not there when we arrived. Simply amazing!
We stopped at three cities with excursions at each one. Two of the stops the excursions were delayed due to the crew did not get everyone off when they expected. This caused us to have less time to shop after our excursion.

If you get an inside state room be sure to bringn a plug in night light, there is a night light but it is right next to the bed. We put ours above the desk to find our way around and still get sleep.

We will do this again.

Pros: We did not have to do anything - service at your door

Cons: Crew on ship got the excursion passengers off late - left little time to shop after the excursion

Recommends Enchantment of the Seas? Yes!

Cozumel, Mexico
We did not see much because our excursion started late and we lost time from shopping. Once we returned from the excursion we intended to visit the famous Carlos Charles, but not enough time. The town appears to be a happy place to be. It's not too touristy like Key West. We actually saw signs of life outside tourist activities. I would like to return here again.
Don't Miss: Snorkeling - try go just snorkeling, you will probably see more than we did on the junction with the mini-jeep ride
Belize City, Belize
Once again our excursion started late because the ship crew got us off late. The tour guide gave a nice history of Belize while driving the long distance though a poor looking town, down a long road, onto an ungraded road, and finally arrived into the jungle. The guides at the destination was wonderful and smart. We bought a CD from the tour company with pictures and video, it is worth it since you cannot bring anything with you on this excursion. So ladies bring a wallet with a string to go around your neck so you don't loose anything valuable, like your ID or SeaPass. If you do the rappeling or any excursion involving the forest - bring the insect repellent.
Don't Miss: Rappeling - 250 feet does not seem that far off the ground when your up there

I was impressed with the Parasailing excursion. I was not much impressed with the section of town the port is located. Unless one prefers just to see shop after shop after shop, there is not much to see here.
Don't Miss: Parasailing - spend the $30 for the CD for pictures and video of the ride
