Outstanding vacation!!! by AT282

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was amazing!!! Very up-to-date. Beautifully decorated and CLEAN!!! Our staterooms gave us plenty of room- even though I am clausterphobic. Our rooms were cleaned every day and had a turn down service at night with chocolates. We truly felt like we were in a five star hotel. A floating hotel. The ports of call were beautiful and organized. I was nervous having small children with me traveling into a different country. Royal Caribbean took care of all excursions and recommended to stay with those and they guaranteed their satisfaction.

Cruising the Caribbean by DianeC17

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This is the 2nd time on this ship. If you prefer a smaller ship, than this is the one for you. The majority of the staff will call you by your name. The personal treatment was an added bonus. The food in the dining room was not the greatest and that was really my only complaint. The other dining areas had excellent food and the BBQ at sea was delicious. We stayed in an Ocean View cabin with a large window. The room and attendent were both good. If you are a frequent traveller on RC, I recommend going to the Crown and Anchor cocktail party. It is always a lot of fun. Do I recommend this ship, yes, although I prefer the larger ship, this ship always provides great memories.

This is my third trip on this boat, and it won't be my last. The ship itself is just the right size, the crew is wonderful and they work hard.

Not a wonderful cruise by ChristinaD1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Staff was rude and not helpful. No one had answers to easy questions. If I asked a question the staff would say they do not know and had me go else where. There was not enough outside lounge chairs, which was fine I had no problem lying on the deck. I wanted an extra towel to lie on and my response when I asked our steward for another towel to put my head on he stated" You should have woken up earlier". Then I had to ask for a towel again and he finally gave me one. I wanted a tour of the kitchen and no one knew the answer. I had been asking this since day one of the cruise. Finally the dinning manager told us to go to the cooking demonstration and after the chef will give you a tour. Sat through the cooking demonstration and he had no clue what I was talking about. I went to guest relations and they told me to go to someone else and I went up to whom they suggested and I inquired about the tour and she said it was this morning. I told her my frustration and she asked what she could do. I said I would like a tour of the kitchen and she said no. One night our steward did not leave an itinerary in our room or turn down our bed, this was after he had been rude all along. I went to guest relations and told them and they just looked at me and said they could give me an itinerary but there was nothing else they could do. I asked to talk to a manager and they told me there was no one to talk to. On the itinerary afternoon tea was listed twice, one day there was nothing and none of the staff knew what I was talking about. The other time they had scones but no tea.

Four Thumbs Up from Honeymoon Couple by HermanK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our honeymoon cruise was four thumbs up. Ship was beautiful, stateroom service was great, food service was great and the entertainment exceeded our expectations and that evaluation is based on having cruised 4 times before. The debarkation was exceptionally smooth.

The Best Vacation I've Taken! by CarlyS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I loved this ship. Th eship was a perfect size, not to big, not to small. I though it would be to small, but it was great. There were great activities and I was always occupied. Since I'm not an adult I couldn't go to the gameshows at night. I really wanted to because I'm not that into the teen activites. BUt the kid activities are still great. There was definetely enough food and more for me. I loved the entertainment, especially the comedian/impressionist/and more Scott Record. He was very, very funny. I loved all of the staff, especially my waiter, Reynaldo, he was great and very helpful. You'll love this cruise if you go on it.

nice shows with a couple of fantastic headliners that appear for only one night each...honestly with my athletic kids the larger voyager class would have been possibly better with hoops andmore for older kids...

First Cruise...but not the last! by HollyA

What a party...loved every minute of it. Loved our waiter, assistant waiter, head waiter and room attendant! Please provide tropical music over the Muzak. I can't get enough of it and it puts you in "the mood". The steel band at the pool was wonderful!

Some kind of cruise! by CedricL

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I booked a cruise to relax and visited Belize City due to my mother attending college there! I booked the 5-day cruise because it gave me time in the State of Florida to do some shopping before and after the cruise. I live in the US Virgin Islands where shopping is very minimum. However, on Monday March 17 my family of 4 missed the cruise ship in Fort Lauderdale, FL Port Everglades. We arrived at the port at 4:30 pm and last boarding call was at 4:20 pm. The ship was still in port with the gangway still connected to ship. Nevertheless, we were not the only folks late for boarding. There was a Royal Caribbean representative there at the port which gave us an sheet of paper with a contact number to get more information regards our situation of missing the cruise ship. The customer service person we spoke to on the phone instructed us to travel to the first port on the itinerary which was Belize City by Wednesday March 19, 2008 and we would be able to board the ship. The cost of travel was at our expense due to the reason missing the ship was our own fault. Needless to say, the ticket cost was very expensive being last minute travel from South Florida to Belize City, Belize. However, I was able to purchase 4 one way tickets from FLL-Fort Lauderdale Airport to BZE-Belize City Belize for the cost of $627 per ticket for Tuesday March 18, 2008 through Travelocity.com. The flight plan was to travel from FLL-Fort Lauderdale to Nassau, Bahamas to Miami, FL, then to Belize non-stop from Miami. We contacted the rental car company to find out about keeping the vehicle for another day. In this process we asked if we could return the vehicle to the Miami airport instead of Fort Lauderdale Airport. To our surprise we could without a great one way rental charge. At this time we made our way to the Miami airport to check with American Airline to see if we can just catch own Miami to Belize flight only. To my surprise American Airline informed me that changing the ticket would cancel the entire flight and I would loss my money. Therefore, we flew the flight booked and made to Belize City on Tuesday March 18, 2008. On Wednesday March 19, 2008 my family of 4 made our way to the port where the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship Enchantment of the Seas was supposes to be tendering to shore. To my surprise we were informed that the current was to strong and the ship could not tender the port. This information was give to me by a port agent representing Royal Caribbean. Therefore, now I need to make travel arrangements to get to Carmen de Playa, Mexico and take a ferry over to Cozumel, Mexico to meet the Cruise Ship at my own expense. Out of my mind with frustration I demand to be put on another ship Royal Caribbean had in port at Belize City, Belize which was the Jewel of the Seas. After waiting from 8:00 am to 12:00 PM(noon), my family and I where allowed to tender & board the Jewel of the Seas Cruise Ship. This Cruise Ship return to Port Everglades Fort Lauderdale on March 22, 2008, the same day as the Enchantment of the Seas was schedule to return. Through all of the drama my family enjoyed the trip with a few folks on the Jewel of the Seas pool attendants harassing me about my 9 year old in the hot tub without supervision with me only 8 feet away. I hope this helps anyone going through travel ups and downs don't give up!

For oue first cruise we could nort have picked a better line to sail on. While we do not have any other cruises to compare with I cannot believe that it could get any better than this. We will definitely sail again on Royal Carribean!
