Outstanding vacation!!!

Sail Date: May 12, 2008

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

The ship was amazing!!! Very up-to-date. Beautifully decorated and CLEAN!!! Our staterooms gave us plenty of room- even though I am clausterphobic. Our rooms were cleaned every day and had a turn down service at night with chocolates. We truly felt like we were in a five star hotel. A floating hotel. The ports of call were beautiful and organized. I was nervous having small children with me traveling into a different country. Royal Caribbean took care of all excursions and recommended to stay with those and they guaranteed their satisfaction.

Pros: You were treated as royalty. The staff was there for your every beakon call. The kids were involved with the ship's activities which gave me and my husband the much needed time together. There was something to do for each age group. The ports were amazing and beautiful!!!

Cons: Security around the pools especially with children. There was some inappropriate behavior as people were drinking alcohol ALL day.

Recommends Enchantment of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
You could pick and chose which restaurant and types of food you wanted. Meals on buffets changed daily. Best food we ever had. Chefs were amazing!
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Every went to lengths to make sure we were happy and taken care of. Security was still a problem at the pool where children play with the drunk adults and some underage drinking.
Great broadway type shows, and comedy
Children's Programs
The kids never wanted to leave!!! We have a 4 , 10 and 13 year old. The 4 year old stayed in the kids program while we went ashore for excursions as she was too young for diving or snorkling. She loved it!
Cozumel, Mexico
Snorkling was beautiful. The reef and fish were not as plentiful but this exursion was for beginners for our kids. The beach following was beautiful with many activities. Our kids chose to ride horses on the beach was daddy and I drank rum punch and played in the water. Be careful of shopping as the locals ran several of our friends off and told them not to come back as they tried to barter. They also were not giving fair value because of the dollar to peso conversion. They were charging higher prices.
Belize City, Belize
The boat never docked at a port rather stayed out 2-4 miles to avoid the reefs. We had to take boat taxi's off the boat and the excursions brought us directly to the boat. Our excursion was cut short because the boat was running late from the last excursion so we were shorted almost an hour of beach time.
Key West, Florida
We rented golf carts and traveled around the entire island exploring. The beach was closed for bacteria contamination. Not a good sign. Parking was a problem so we could not do any shopping.
