Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was my first cruise and we decided to experience what the Enhanctment of the Seas had to offer. I can truly say all of my expections were met. The ship was beauitful and everyone was friendly. But I would recommend that if you can, reserve a room with a balcony. I found that if you don't feel like being surronded with people on the public desks of the ship, you can enjoy the beauty of the open seas from your balcony. (highly recommended)

Good, but not worth the money by TerryF7

The ship is very pretty. Certain parts of the ship had breathtaking views (the relaxation room in the spa, the centrum, the Windjammer) The dining room is exquisite. Food was excellent, and being from New York, I know good food. The entertainment was cheesy at night and almost non-existent during the day.

A fabulous and luxurious cruise by VickiG4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were so impressed with all the storage in the cabin. We felt there was plenty of cabin room and best of all were lucky enough to get connecting cabins with the kids. We felt pampered by the dining staff who tried to read our minds before we even sat down. We were grateful for the cool, restful colors of the ship and the many seating areas on every deck to relax and look outside the windows from inside. This was definitely a cruise to remember and just as wonderful as our other Royal Caribbean cruises. Enjoyed the indoor music playing all afternoon.

The ship was fine, we may be just a little spoiled after going on some of the really nice mega-ships.

"Rejuvinating Cruise" by LyndaS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was gorgeous. It is elegant and beautifully maintained. I went with two women, who have been my friends for over 35 years.....we hadn't seen each other to chat face to face in over 5 years. The ship offered us quiet lounges where we sat for hours and talked and laughed. We had coffee on our private balcony each morning and we were able to relax in privacy. There is no better vacation for friends who want to just sit, talk, laugh and catch up.

Great time by BillR5

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Being under-whelmed with my first cruise on another cruise line, I was interested in comparing Royal Caribbean to my first unfavorable voyage. During the life boat muster we had a very unpleasant experience. An unruly passenger decided he would shove the whole line down to make room for himself and it wasnt handled well by the staff. The Enchantment of the Seas dcor was elegant. All the glass, wood and polished metal were very impressive. We were greeted by our cabin steward at least once a day. The meals and service in the formal dinning room were excellent. The food in the Windjammer caf was good but the congestion around the food islands was chaotic at best. We opted to utilize the open dinning in the formal dinning room after a few brutal experiences. The entertainment was so-so compared to Vegas, New York, or even Branson. Our private balcony was nice, but not as private as we would have liked with cigarette smoke wafting in from all directions. The chairs did not recline and we went topside to sit several times. I dont believe we will expend the extra money for a balcony the next time. The ports of call were fun, we went on the Atlantis Submarine in Cozumel and the ATVs in Belize.

A short cruise - a new experience to me by HelenL3

Sail date: / Traveled as:
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This is the first time I have taken a short cruise, a four dayer. As a person who has done from 7 to 11 day cruisers, I didn't know if I would be disappointed. I was not. Royal Caribbean does all it can to make your short cruise experience just as memorable as a longer one.

Another terrific cruise on RCCL by PattieF

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This trip was a back to back cruise , Western Carribean..5 days and then another 4 days. We we first on the Enchantement in 1998 for it's 40th voyage and were eager to see her again post- stretch...she is still as beautiful as ever! New addition around the pool deck was very impressive...especially at night. Found our inside cabin ( Cat. L) to be smaller than on the Voyager class ships, but for the short amount of time we spent in the room, it was suficient. The only thing somewhat lacking was the clearing of dirty dishes, trash from the pol deck in a timely manner...Somewhat surprised on this issue from Rccl.

It was very clean and airy. My husband and I enjoyed having the option of the adults only pool. It was a more relaxing atmosphere than the ships other pools.

A very beautiful ship by AnnB

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We found the ship decortated with very good taste. This was our first time on the Enchantment of the Seas, so we did not know what it was like before. But, the finished product was very nice. The dining room was very comfortable, and the service was excellent. The food was presented with great care and everything was very good. We will not be afraid to recommend this ship to anyone.

It was awesome!! by BeckyB1

We had the best time!! The service was excellent, the food was great. We had a problem with dining seating arrangements; that was fixed immediately. We also had a problem with the bathroom on the cruise; that was also fixed immediately. The only downside was the emergency drill, which you have to do, and the cloudy weather on the way back, which you don't control. Everything else was wonderful!!

A Great Get-Away by DawnB13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Upon arriving at the airport while waiting for bus to shuttle guests to ship, no one assisted us with our six luggage bags, even when there were plenty of staff standing around... Also, departing the ship was stressful due to the disorganization of picking up ypur luggae, not only is this method unsafe, but anyone can simply walk up and take your luggage, I know because it happened to me, there should be some sort of accountability, such as an attendant at each color group of luggage and have guests show ID or sea pass when picking up luggage, by doing this, all guests leave on a positive note, instead of a sour note, especially when family & friends ask about the trip,, you dont want the first words out of your mouth to be "they lost my luggage or they allow anyone to walk up and grab your luggage" Thanks Dawn Brown & Gregory Brown

Royal Caribbean treats you like Royalty! by KarenV7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Amazing for a first cruise. The Centrum looked like Trump Tower, very upscale. Dining room service was impeccable, so much so that we were sad to say goodbye to our wonderful waiter. Chops Grille was amazing, make your reservations early. Spa services were great with the exception of the fitness center being located directly above the spa. The shows and entertainment were fabulous, Carly B. is a hoot. The Mojitos at Boleros are among the best we have had. Overall, a wonderful experience!

A Great Family Cruise!!! by JenniferP9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I went with my husband and two girls ages 8 and 10. We have travelled on Carnival before and loved that cruise also. On our last trip my girls were afraid to go to the Ocean Adventure children's program. I also wrongly thought it was like a drop off babysitter for parents who don't want to spend time with their children. This trip they tried it and absolutely loved it. It doesn't cost anything unless they stay after 10 pm. They can come and go as they please and the crew is so good to them. They are busy doing science experiments, scavenger hunts, you name it. I had to force the kids to come to the islands with us. They wanted to stay. The Windjammer Marketplace is where we stuffed ourselves from morning to night. More variety of food than you can imagine. The pasta shop has create your own pasta. You pick the sauce, meat, veggies. It tasted out of this world. We ate there most of the trip. My husband isn't into dressing up for dinner. The only negative about the buffet is that the desserts are always fancy. No plain brownies or cake. The kids didn't like most of them. But that is what you expect on a cruise. One warning about the pools. My eight year old just learned how to swim, but not with much confidence. With the exception of the kiddie pool which is 1 ft. deep, the other pools have no shallow end. They are all over 4 1/2 ft. She would't go in. The enchantment of the seas which we went on has an interactive water play area, which looked better on the computer than in person. We had a rock climbing wall, but didn't use it. You had to sign up for an instructional session first and there was always a line. The entertainment was great! The ship was very clean! Don't make phone calls from the ship, they are 8 dollars a minute. Cell phones won't work on every island either, so plan ahead. If you drink alot of soda, buy the drink packages. We bought two and shared with the kids. Soda is not included on the ship. Enjoy your trip!!!

Lots of new storage elements have been aded, easy to unpack and fell like there was a place for everything. Overall we have to say the ship was really impressive, the staff was wonderful as always, and even if you've sailed on Enchantment before, she's worth a second look.

Oh How enchanting! by TaniaC1

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was quite the experience. As first time cruisers, we had no idea what to expect- but what we did find was more then I could have hoped for! Everything from the staff, to the ship was excellent! We had the time of our lives and will be sure to spread the word on this website and the cruise line that we went on... You have made this couple believers in cruising and will surely make another trip!
