We didn’t know what to expect as our 1st Caribbean cruise , loved enchanted princess , nice staff , busy casino ( I love watching idiots lose money) MDR was ok , Crown grill was outstanding , going to Italian tonight & French tomorrow, not sure if I’d do another Caribbean cruise but overall a good experience

Great except horrible smoke smell in & around casino by jpoc17

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchanted Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Fun ship with good internet and seamless Medallion system eliminates keycards- perfect except for smoking allowed in casino that ruins the experience

Don’t book if food is a deal breaker. by elleewah

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchanted Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We paid over 3k and expected the food to be much better. After the 3rd day we were dying for food with flavor. Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner were bland and just tasteless. We ate the majority of our meals at the ports when available. The food does have a great presentation but they are using the bottom of the barrel ingredients. Food is a big part of the enjoyment of the cruise. Do not book if this is a deal breaker for you. We will not book with Princess again mainly because the food was terrible.

Fun until speciality dining reservation made 3 mo prior to cruise embarkation was cancelled by Princess. Extremely disappointed not to mention Princess rep in guest services, Isaac, said on ship that he saw reservation but couldn’t fix bc Crown Dining ful by rbernat13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchanted Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Doubt my wife and I plus our 4 family members will sail Princess again. Extremely disappointed by crown speciality dining, mgmt, and guest services for cancelling our reservations after booking 3mo earlier! The room was over booked by Princess and we were shunned. Make matters worse my wife who spoke w Princess rep 3 mo earlier bc she couldn’t link 3 couples together via their site was told you’re all set! Then she finds out she’s left out. Finally one of the couples does go and sees 3 empty tables! We don’t want ur complimentary wines, fruit basket or spa treatments but our reservation. In 2 days we’ll be saying good bye for a long time!

Rainy but enjoyable trip by Maccruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchanted Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This was my first time cruising by myself and also my first time with Princess. It was nice that the ship was new and although it is much larger than I like ( over 3,500 passengers), it never felt crowded. I loved the “Medallion “ experience and hopefully this will be used by other cruise lines in the near future. In spite of the weather not being great, I enjoyed the cruise and would definitely cruise with Princess again.

Amazing cruise on Enchanted Princess by lain10dad

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchanted Princess

Overall a great cruise. Due to having kids, I think I prefer RCI, but I would say Princess is now my second favorite line. I guess when I'm old and my kids have moved out, I know which cruise line I would pick. 😉

Impressed by willwork4cruz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchanted Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Wonderful cruise. I am very impressed that Princess can provide this experience for so little money. I like all cruise lines and will sail with anyone but Princess is clearly the leader in my experience. I will let you know how our upcoming Celebrity goes. The ship was not full, about 85% I think I heard. So experience would not be as good if it were full.

Great Cruise on Enchanted by JimDavid

Enchanted Nov 22 Review Back home from the Nov 5-19 Enchanted from NY to Caribbean to Lauderdale: So my assessment - I was very pleased with the cruise compared to our first post Covid in March 2022, which was a transatlantic on the REGAL. On the March Cruise, we missed three ports, had terrible Medallion service (received a refund) and the food was not Princess standard fare. I would rate The Enchanted an8.5/10. Food is very subjective so we'll never agree on what is good or bad....we prefer MDR dining and flexible dining so most of our dinners were taken there at delightful shared tables with fantastic British folks, fellow Canadians and a few Americans. We stayed away from political chat despite the timing of the American vote. However great chats on many other topics - Our table was usually the last to leave the MDR (Capri). We did a few breakfasts in the buffet (they make great omelettes). These were on mornings we had to leave early for a tour or slept in. We thoroughly enjoyed GiGis (3 or four lunches) and International Cafe is always a favourite for most lunches. The coffee service at the International was great every morning. I must say the MDR menu was one of the best I've had in recent cruises. They changed up the mains although I did notice there were not as many selections overall. I only saw escargot once but had the onion soup a few times. It was almost as good as the Crown. This is the first cruise in 25 that we did not do a specialty restaurant. We also forgot to ask about the wine makers dinner and the chef’s table. We had the deck burgers and fries twice – they are great!! Except for Sailaway I found the Bar service fast and friendly. I do not like ordering drinks on Medallion so I made the extra effort to go to the nearest bar. Our two bars of choice were in Vista for the Elite Receptions and the one on Deck 7 near Princess Live. Ronnel in Vista was our favourite bar host and Quiet Collin on 7 was very efficient. We did find the 9:30 shows in Princess lacking compared to past cruises and were usually tired by the time we were out of dining. I have a tendency to doze even if the music is loud (which it was). However, we didn't enjoy the offerings as much as other cruises. We don't do trivia or bingo so avoided Princess Live. The Enrichment lectures were great and also did the Cooking demo on the final day. Our only disappointment came on the first day with a late Sail Away from NY and the Bar Service that day. We did not try the Retreat Pool or any other pool because we do not swim but were disappointed we could not get a Sanctuary time. There are still quite a few chair hogs near the pools or people are just to lazy to remove their towels when finished. We did not do any High Teas and forgot about the Wine Tasting. Our Room Steward, Arthur on Riviera, was one of the best. We did not do the Casino except for our 2 organized slot pulls, but certainly noticed the smoking and yes it did affect the area outside a bit. The ship was probably the newest we've ever sailed on but our preference is a smaller ship. Next two cruises are on the Coral and Grand. It certainly will be a bit of an adjustment to go back on the Coral after ten years. We did NOT contract Covid (tested again this am) so I think we are out of the woods on that issue. So kudos to all the staff including Officers for a great 2 weeks. We usually choose our cruises based on itinerary and this one did not disappoint.

Very good experience except for St Lucia. Been there before and I don’t recall having a bad experience. The ship is beautiful and the staff professional and friendly. I would say cruising is getting back to normal, love the Princess experience. Sailing again the end is January.

Foggy and Rainy New England Cruise by tomkitten

A actual exchange with information personnel in St. John: Info Rep: I'm sorry, the season ends in a few days, and a lot of places are already closed for the season. Me: So the season is already over. Info Rep: No, it ends after the weekend. Me: But the places I wanted to visit have already closed for the season. Info Rep: There is a t-shirt store open over there. You should have come last month.

"Prestige" casino cruise during the peak fall colors by ullamist

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchanted Princess / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Overall it was a very nice cruise--however this cruise taught me to be more careful about booking cruises where lousy weather will likely be a factor--next time I will choose a ship with a solarium so I don't feel so cooped up. It was also our 6th Princess cruise and I felt like everything was the same on this ship as on all the other ships--a bit boring perhaps--I'm probably ready to try another line.

Great cruise, but don’t take the bus that princess offers, a 45 minute trip lasted over 2 1/2 hours, driver appeared lost, and did not speak English. This was to JFK airport.

Nice Ship by Aubreyd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchanted Princess / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

We enjoyed our cruise with the exception of the my time dining. We were made to wait while people with no reservation were taken before us. It took two hours to finish our meal because of very slow service. We actually had to ask for the dessert menu and then we were not offered any coffee or tea with our order. We complained during our meal about the slowness yet service did not improve. We missed most of the show in the Princess Theater because of this issue. We have another cruise in November and we hope to see improvements. We did enjoy this cruise and would recommend it.
