Review summary

Had an enjoyable cruise. We were very lucky with the weather to see the early New England foliage.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Lines, lines and more lines. Embarkation seemed much slower than other Princess cruises. You had to pick an arrival time but it seemed like everyone showed up at the same time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food in the main dining room was delicious. The International Market is fabulous for specialty coffees and a light lunch.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There always seemed to be something interesting/entertaining going on in the Piazza, Princess Live, etc.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Princess productions shows were very good. Their new show, 5-SKIES was fantastic - best show I’ve seen at sea! The same comedian performed two nights and he was pretty funny.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters in the main dining room were fabulous and eager to please. Room steward worked hard and kept our room clean.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship is rather new and is in great shape. Crew was constantly cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was new and clean.

Ship tip

Be patient as the number of guests is increasing. We got spoiled earlier in the year when ships sailed at lower capacity.

Ports of call

Saint John, New Brunswick

5 out of 5
Took a small photography tour to the reversing tides (they were roaring) and Bay of Fundy. Wasn’t quite low tide so the boats weren’t in the sand. Got some really good camera and iPhone tips for taking pictures.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Took a fabulous small van tour to Arcadia National Park. Walked around Bar Harbor after.

Newport, Rhode Island

5 out of 5
Have been to Newport countless times as we usually drive here. Walked around, did some shopping and had a delicious lunch at The Black Pearl. It’s my go-to restaurant in Newport for their NE clam chowder and their spin on a lobster sandwich - lots of lobster🦞!

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
Took a very interesting half day tour to Copley Square, Cambridge (Harvard), Beacon Hill, etc.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
Walked around the town. There was construction on the main shopping street.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation went smoothly.
