This was my first time cruising by myself and also my first time with Princess. It was nice that the ship was new and although it is much larger than I like ( over 3,500 passengers), it never felt crowded. I loved the “Medallion “ experience and hopefully this will be used by other cruise lines in the near future. In spite of the weather not being great, I enjoyed the cruise and would definitely cruise with Princess again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We arrived late to embark so fortunately the majority of passengers were already on board and we went directly onboard without any wait time at all.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
There was lots of variety at the buffet. Soups were terrific and there were plenty of vegetarian options. We had dinner every night in Amalfi. The food was very good and staff very attentive. The hosting staff always seemed rushed and not always friendly.

Entertainment
5 out of 5
The Production shows, Rock Opera, spotlight Bar, 5 Skies were outstanding. The comedians, magician and vocalists were also first class. Probably the best theatre shows I’ve seen on a cruise in a long time.
Children's Programs
I travelled alone and have no children to participate in these programmes.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All ship personnel were friendly and helpful. The cruise director was down to earth, funny and informative. She always made you feel welcome and treated you as a friend.
Ship Quality

Rather odd design in places where you couldn’t get to some places. Only certain elevators went to certain floors. Confusing at times. However, the large display boards throughout the ship made it easier to find your way.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
This was supposedly a “deluxe” balcony. However, it seemed like a regular balcony cabin to me. There was a comfortable queen size bed, a small couch and coffee table. Both the balcony and bathroom were small but functional for one person. There were lots of hangers, plenty of storage and a safe. The room steward was lovely and she made sure there was always ice in the fridge.
The town is very poor and I did not shop there. I have been here before and taken a tour to the Emerald pool and the rain forest. Well worth the visit but not for shopping.
Loved Grenada. Our tour guide was wonderful and took us to a chocolate “factory” to try all kinds of chocolate. He also picked various fruits and spices along the route. Would visit here again.
Great shopping around the port. The island is covered in cacti and prickly bushes. Apparently this is a diver’s favourite spot. We did a tour and saw donkeys and flamingos.
Love Curaçao. Lots of shopping close to the port. Fantastic opportunity to photograph beautiful buildings. I took an excursion to an ostrich farm. The guide there was excellent. We later visited an art gallery.
