Review summary

A actual exchange with information personnel in St. John: Info Rep: I'm sorry, the season ends in a few days, and a lot of places are already closed for the season. Me: So the season is already over. Info Rep: No, it ends after the weekend. Me: But the places I wanted to visit have already closed for the season. Info Rep: There is a t-shirt store open over there. You should have come last month.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth as silk. Since we had kept up with the Medallion pre-boarding checklists, the at-port boarding check-in was almost non-existant. The rep scanned out medallions, and off we went!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was good and plentiful, even if not very diverse.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Not much to do when it's too cool for pools.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Of the three production shows that Princess claims are on the Enchanted, only one was actually produced during this seven night itinerary. There were two nights of an ok Elton John impersonator, and two nights of a generic comedian. In all, a pretty disappointing cruise for entertainment.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward was very helpful and sweet.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It's a pretty new ship - both pretty and new.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Balcony stateroom - very cramped.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
As easy as it was to board, it was still easier to disembark.

Glad you enjoyed most of it. Many places close before the last few cruise ships arrive since it’s not economical for them to remain open once most cruises have ended for the season. The same thing happens in Alaska. The cruise season is when cruise ships are arriving, not necessarily when local businesses are open. There is a reason early and late season cruises are usually cheaper.
