If you are traveling with a company, or kids, bring a walky talky to communicate, the wireless access is expensive.

Don't live with any reservations or regrets. Ask a princess to join you for the formal dinner if you are single. You may be exceedingly happy as a result!

Need to book your desired excursion before boarding the ship as the most popular excursions were sold out by the time you get on board.

We HATED the "soda plus more" drink package. It was sold to us as "anything but alcohol is covered" and that is so not the case. Bottled water....not covered. Specialty coffee....not covered. Canned soda in the international cafe....not covered. There were too many exceptions to make it care free.

Dress for leisure, do not use the regular dining room daily, to many things to do other than going to eat at the same time every day.

The formal nights were very relaxed. Several people were wearing shorts and jeans. They did not enforce the dress code. It was ok for men to wear shirt and ties with a coat.

If you are going out of Houston you can only get beer and wine (not bottles) on your first night going out of Houston (Houston laws). So if you get the beverage package and do not drink beer and wine, then you might want to try to get your $ back for your Sunday drink package.

Older crowds. If you're looking for party dancing and rock music this is not the ship.

We are from the Houston area and were quite surprised to have people from so many parts of the U.S. and Canada on board. The ship is very pretty and easy to get around.

Recommend sailing on the Emerald Princess without hesitation.

Get the drink card if you are a coke drinker at all. Pays for itself by noon most days for me.

If you want to be informed about what is going on the word, FORGET it. They only have Fox "News" and not sport channel. I understand that for the kind of passengers, it may be OK, but you should be able to chose.

Even though the ship is huge, the floorplan and layout allowed us to find many private places on board, We NEVER felt crowded, the buffet was unreal and clean- Food was SENSATIONAL---- The difference is somewhat like this- This ship was like shopping at WHOLE FOODS vs. a dirty WALMART....SERIOUSLY!

Bring formal wear for the days at sea.

The Emerald Princess Ship is not your normal Princess Ship. It just came out of dry dock and should go back to it and fix a lot of problems.

Explore all food and drink options and not just buffet.

Excursions and their $$$$s are a waste unless the site is far out of town and unavailable by train. We do much better on our own at our pace. More fun to explore on your own than be herded in a bus with 40-60 others. saw three tuxedos on formal nights. Formality is almost passé (a good thing?)

Use the princess@sea app on your smartphone it is free and as all the events of the day.

Very happy with Emerald Princess. Looking forward to going on a next Princess cruise.

There were 2 formal nights each week but tux was not required. Suits and sport coats were acceptable attire. Other nights Business Casual was proper attire but it seemed people were allowed to "sneak" in wearing shorts. The weekly Crab Shack dining in the Caribe Dining Room is a great choice for $20
