Memorable by jlopes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Erin from activities made my daughter feel like a princess the entire time. I'm happy they met the night of the avengers party. There was a crew member on cast away, he was from United States, he brought daughter out of her shell and danced with her once again making her feel like a princess. (My daughter has a disability) our housekeeper was unbelievable

First cruise for my teenager... by dezzdmona

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

First cruise for my teenager and she loved it. The Magic was a perfect size ship. I won’t cruise on anything bigger. The service was excellent as usual with Disney. The line is the best for young families and Disney fans as we are. I would not take this ship if you are looking for a more refined experience. The dress code is very casual and laid back.

Class, elegance and most of... by boatsandboats

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

Class, elegance and most of all fun. Disney is setting the bar for our future cruising. Room was very comfortable, kids loved their bunk bed and Disney channels, mom and dad loved the two bathroom set up and service overall. Had a blast at the sail away party and pirate night. The dining was superb and we especially loved eating in a different restaurant every night. Ship is maintained so well it looks brand new, outside and in. I just wish it was a longer cruise. Looking for the next one.

It was amazing even though... by annie9557

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

It was amazing even though the weather was a little rough. We thought our Castaway Cay day would be stormy, but it turned out to be a beautiful day and the highlight of our trip. I loved the shows, they were so magical. I didn't love how crowded the hot tubs were, and my younger kids hated the kids club. Other than that it was great.

Clean Ship with an amazing crew! The attention to detail surpassed my previous cruise with Princess Cruises. Our dinner servers made the vacation truly special. They were part of the family. I cannot wait to get back aboard!!

Wonderful cruise on the Disney Magic by Broomcrew

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Disney has some of the best customer service that we have ever experienced and that is why we keep returning. Their prices are higher but if you plan ahead, cruise in the non high peak times and take advantage of their future cruise discount you can get some good deals. They have beautiful ships and amazing crews!

The Disney Magic is an... by sjkotran

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

The Disney Magic is an old but amazing ship. Somethings on the ship can never be replaced or tampered with. Like the engravings of characters in the 3rd and 4th deck separation. The room I was in was perfect condition when I came in. It was clean everything worked and there was not too much noise. This ship, truly has the right name

Mixed Reviews - Family of... by SandyBottoms

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

Mixed Reviews - Family of 4 Dining- First Time DISNEY Cruise & was very disappointed in the food quality. I know ... SHOCKER! Everyone has raved about dining on Disney but we did not get that same experience in any of the dining rooms or the buffet at dinner. We are not picky eaters but it was, by far, the worst food of any of my 13 sailings. The waiters were extremely friendly but service was slow & they seemed short-handed for the duration of the cruise. Our drinks were rarely refilled when empty & we received the wrong food orders several times. We didn’t complain or make a big deal of it but did, at times, discuss it with other people on our sailing & of those we spoke to, the consensus seemed to be the same..... 🤷🏻‍♀️ The ice cream was great tho! Main Atrium- The carpets in the main/central area were in need of serious cleaning. They were heavily stained & for an area where much of the character pictures are taken it seemed like an area they would want to give some attention to. Maybe carpet isn’t the best option for that area. Cabin- We were on Deck 2 FWD in an OV room. Overall it was a great location. Noise was a slight issue on early port days when they were loading/unloading supplies. Personally, I didn’t care for the split bathroom plan but I understand the purpose of it. Pools- The adults only pool looked amazing & rarely used. Although small, the kids pool was a great depth & my youngest (5) loved it & the slide. The family friendly pool was more like a bar pit/hole. We didn’t care for this pool at all - made me nervous. It too was small & you had to look down into it to see anything. You couldn’t watch your kids from your chair. It’s not a shallow entry style like the adults pool, which I think would be better suited as the family pool. Characters- Amazing! They were everywhere & the schedules of appearances were clearly displayed & communicated. Shows- The Best!!! We loved going to a different one every night. Crew- I loved how every member spoke to us every single time! That speaks volumes compared to other cruise lines. Kids Clubs- My kids LOVED going! My oldest (7) is very shy & after the initial time, he asked to go every evening after dinner. Overall- Aside from the food, I would try Disney again. Probably a different/newer ship next time though.

Loved the ship and the... by sar2169886

Ship: Disney Magic

Loved the ship and the rotating dining. We did an 8 night Christmas cruise from New York and there were so many things to do the entire cruise. We even had two firework nights. My only complaint was that there was no activites planned on ship on our port Canaveral day. We live 30 mins from disney and met my husband mom who lives in New York for this cruise and didnt want to go to disney. It was amazing having the whole ship to ourselves that day though!

We went on a Marvel... by krislee2327

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

We went on a Marvel Day and a Merry Time Christmas Cruise. There was A LOT of activities planned into one week. They also had the Pirate night. It was hectic and very busy. The Magic is Disney’s smaller ship but I loved it. It has charm. My 7 year old boy didn’t enjoy the kids program. He kind of felt lost between the age groups I think. Basically there was one big room with some tablets and a big tv. The slinky slide was blocked off a lot. He did participate in Pluto’s pajama jam and enjoyed that but most days stayed with us. Make sure to reserve tickets before you go online for ticketed meet n greets. Very important!! My kids still talk about this cruise 9 months later!! Awesome 👏🏻 time!

Fabulous Cruise - Bad data usage by renskecrit

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Loved the cruise. It is my favorite and we have another scheduled in a year. HOWEVER, as commented above I am NOT HAPPY with the data charges I received from my carrier via the ship.! I signed up for the free 50 GB on the ship and was told what to power off by the tech person at the test. I did not even use the phone, even for pictures, just kept it plugged in to charge which I found out later = usage. I finally turned it on while we were waiting to disembark. So, you need to have an embarkation class on how to avoid "roaming at sea" before the ship leaves port.

Being a first time disney... by Reidkmr

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

Being a first time disney cruiser I was not impressed. I have been on several cruises and was invited by my daughter to join her family on this cruise. The process prior to cruising was ridiculous for a first time Disney cruiser due to the priority standing with others who have cruised with Disney before - everything from the online registration to booking character meets - for a first time cruiser by the time our time came pretty much everything was booked. Not a good way to start on the right foot. The early time for luggage to be put out on the last time is very stressful. Not sure why a later time would not work. Debarkation process was sheer chaos. Breakfast option was also a disaster. If we wanted to eat we had to be at the restaurant at 7:00 a.m. After we ate the only option was to get in line to leave the ship. If the buffet was open we could have taken our time in a relaxing environment and just wait for our time to be called. Remember this is a cruise with many young children. As I said before not impressed especially for the price I paid for this cruise which is much higher than what I have paid for other cruises with better options. I have never posted anything before but I can’t believe that I am the only one that had this experience.

First Disney cruise without our... by raphsky

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

First Disney cruise without our kids and we had a blast. The weather could not be any better for a cruise going to Canada in mid October. The wait staff Roland and Carolina were fantastic. David the adult activities person was fantastic. He was full of energy. The excursions at Charlottetown Anne of Green Gables and at Halifax Peggy's cove and Titanic were amazing. The shows on the boat fantastic. Other than the weather turning for the worst the last day and a half of the cruise everything was perfect.

Magical first Disney Cruise by billyho26

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Amazing cruise for both adults and kids. Staff is friendly and top-notch. Activities for adults are great - bingo, excursions, and the kids' club (yes - it gives adults the time to enjoy their vacation)! Plenty of opportunities to see the Disney characters in all different costumes. Overall amazing time.
