Mixed Reviews - Family of 4 Dining- First Time DISNEY Cruise & was very disappointed in the food quality. I know ... SHOCKER! Everyone has raved about dining on Disney but we did not get that same experience in any of the dining rooms or the buffet at dinner. We are not picky eaters but it was, by far, the worst food of any of my 13 sailings. The waiters were extremely friendly but service was slow & they seemed short-handed for the duration of the cruise. Our drinks were rarely refilled when empty & we received the wrong food orders several times. We didn’t complain or make a big deal of it but did, at times, discuss it with other people on our sailing & of those we spoke to, the consensus seemed to be the same..... 🤷🏻‍♀️ The ice cream was great tho! Main Atrium- The carpets in the main/central area were in need of serious cleaning. They were heavily stained & for an area where much of the character pictures are taken it seemed like an area they would want to give some attention to. Maybe carpet isn’t the best option for that area. Cabin- We were on Deck 2 FWD in an OV room. Overall it was a great location. Noise was a slight issue on early port days when they were loading/unloading supplies. Personally, I didn’t care for the split bathroom plan but I understand the purpose of it. Pools- The adults only pool looked amazing & rarely used. Although small, the kids pool was a great depth & my youngest (5) loved it & the slide. The family friendly pool was more like a bar pit/hole. We didn’t care for this pool at all - made me nervous. It too was small & you had to look down into it to see anything. You couldn’t watch your kids from your chair. It’s not a shallow entry style like the adults pool, which I think would be better suited as the family pool. Characters- Amazing! They were everywhere & the schedules of appearances were clearly displayed & communicated. Shows- The Best!!! We loved going to a different one every night. Crew- I loved how every member spoke to us every single time! That speaks volumes compared to other cruise lines. Kids Clubs- My kids LOVED going! My oldest (7) is very shy & after the initial time, he asked to go every evening after dinner. Overall- Aside from the food, I would try Disney again. Probably a different/newer ship next time though.

Marvel day at sea was so much fun, my 6yo and 5yo really enjoyed the show. My 2yo meet her hero, Minnie, 5 times!

2twisted it was awesome. Great serving team, very good food. I think the carpet in the Atrium was fine too.

I just disembarked the Magic, we sailed the same cruise as sytrace. Food was amazing and the service was even better. I never had to wait for drinks, my server would bring me 2 to start my meal every night. The servers were so personal it didn't even feel like they were serving any other table when we ate. Food wasn't bland or cold, for dinner last night my wife and i had the best Beef Wellington we've ever had. I didn't see any stains on the carpet in the atrium.

Enjoy your sailing! I hope your dining experience will be much better than ours was. Hopefully, ours was just a fluke. I posted a pic of the main atrium last night & you can see the stains pretty good in that one but it does appear to have been designed like a shell with the colors of the ocean.

Interesting about the food... I have done 15 Disney cruises and the food was very good with various dishes becoming my favorites. I am sailing on the Magic this Sunday for a Marvel Day at Sea and will check out the carpet in the Atrium. 😎 It was designed to call to mind the different shades of the ocean and it's various colors, but I will be interested to see if they fell short on that. :)

It was just bland & tasteless. Never served hot - maybe even room temp at best on several occasions. Initially I thought maybe my expectations were too high bc so many people raved to me about how great their food was but it never got any better. My son ordered chicken noodle soup as an appetizer the 1st night & complained immediately. I gave him a hard time & rolled my eyes at him bc he can be picky but I tried it myself & it was really that bad. LOL! Tasted like tap water poured over noodles.
