Review summary

Overall, the cruise was great, only because we had great weather for about 7 out of 11 days; minimal to little rain was experienced which made the walking, the tours and excursions better to best! Post cruise, I would have taken this cruise tour out of Seattle instead of Vancouver due to logistics getting in and out of Vancouver and time of embarkation and disembarkation, and to by pass Victoria port a call

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was delayed; not sure the ship was ready as they do quick turnarounds. Had to wait in three different rooms before boarding?

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Specialty Restaurants were great; as well as the main dining rooms; but we stayed clear of the buffets; way to crowded and repetitive foods.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Shows, entertainment, and music. comedies were great. Other entertainment was too woke and catered to one group of voyeurs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was great, as the more personable you got, the better service was provided. I wrote down names and countries to reward them!!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Cleanliness was outstanding; however they did have many malfunctions on board and the ship design was less than satisfactory, as elevators and stairs would only take you so far, thus you had to go up a stair or elevator to get back down to a restaurant or other location (this was more than 3 bad deck designs)?

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Comfort, size and cleanliness was excellent; an experienced cruiser so know the size of the shower (lol), but the closet space was excellent!!

Ship tip

Get a balcony suite or cabin mid-ship; this will better assist your visits to all entities on board and all decks

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Loved Vancouver; will visit again and go to Whistler

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
Loved the Summit Gap train tour; loved the historic town and folks. Plenty to do, shop, eat and trail hike

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
We actually got close, it was great

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Absolutely loved Skagway; did the Whale Watch here; the town historic, and college kids who were guides and summer workers were great!!

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

4 out of 5
This spot reminded me of a internal cruise line designed port of stay; it was ok, but little to experience or accomplish.

Ketchikan, Alaska

3 out of 5
Too commercial, not enough restaurants or saloons. We did zip line it was great, but the lumber jack show - stay away!

Victoria, British Columbia

4 out of 5
Flowers galore; must take a shuttle to get into town; and cruise line should have had one for free, but they did not. In all actuality, this cruise port should be skipped, as the time at port was over 12 hours and I would have like to spent an extra time in Vancouver.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
They were in a hurry as they had a quick turn around to Juneau, so we were pushed out the cabin and literally the door..

Thanks for reviewing. Victoria is a required legal stop so it doesn’t get the port time like Alaska. We just stayed on ship here. Too tired to venture out. And enjoyed an emptier ship to get gelato with no lines.
