Review summary

This cruise was great for food, customer service and destinations, but was terrible for onboard activities and entertainment. They need to expand their activities to appeal to young adults. If you're not into bingo, trivia or lectures you will have nothing to do onboard during the day.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation took a while to get through all the different stations required but it was very organized and staff were very friendly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was much better than any other cruise line and I've sailed on carnival, royal Caribbean and Norwegian. Main dining room food was better than specialty restaurants on other lines. Even buffet food quality was great. Only negative is that the buffet was very repetitive, especially breakfast and lunch. But it was always delicious.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Activities were limited and BORING! It was only trivia, bingo and educational lectures. My 2 adult sons in their twenties were so bored they spent most of their time watching movies in their rooms.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Production shows were all variations of the same show, the costumes weren't very good but the talent of the performers was fantastic. The music group that performed in the main club was terrible and butchered the words of many songs due to language issues. DJ in nightclub was good.

Children's Programs

No kids under 18

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Best customer service I've ever experienced. All staff were friendly and smiling. They all looked like they enjoyed their jobs. The waiters often were singing as they worked and one even gave an impromptu performance of hey Jude by the Beatles during breakfast and he was great. I told him he should try out for the entertainment department. The staff are what made the experience wonderful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was absolutely immaculate, staff were always cleaning and doing maintenance. Only complaint is about design of ship. Food venues were too spread out and the only place to get water or sodas without having to go to a bar or wait on a server to bring it was to go to the buffet. Need water and drink stations at different places throughout the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was fine but the closet was Amazing! Biggest closet on any ship I've seen. Only negative was the shower curtain, I prefer the glass door but that's not a big deal.

Ship tip

Bring a book and other activities to do since you will get bored by day 4 because every activity is just a slight variation of the others and is very repetitive. Also make sure to bring plenty of rain gear because it rained 8 out of 11 days.
