Overall, it was a relaxing trip. The only disappointment was the lack of variety for entertainment. Mostly it seemed to be karaoke or trivia games. And during sunny days on the deck, they didn’t have a dj playing. It seems most Alaska cruises never take advantage of warm, sunny days at the pool deck.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation was pretty smooth at the pier. The app, however, is very glitchy.

Food and Dining

The main buffet was very disappointing. It was small and limited. Both the main dining rooms(2 were open), it was excellent. The Love Boat is my very favorite dessert.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
There is no covered pools, and it was very cold during the trip. We had 2 days of sun, the breeze still had a chill. The gym was fine, the locker rooms have a dry sauna and a steam room. The steam rooms weren’t working.
Entertainment

It was OK. Nothing stunning.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff were very friendly and attentive. It was great. First time one a medallion class, and when the app worked, it was great.

Cabin / Stateroom

It a small inside. Just enough room. The beds were super comfortable! Our steward made sure we had everything we needed.
Ship tip
Don’t expect the ship app to work properly. It is very glitchy. I recommend getting a wristband holder for your medallion before you go. I didn’t want to deal with a lanyard the whole trip. Bring paper/digital backups of your documents.
Always like walking around, visiting the ravens near the pier. We don’t do excursions anymore, because we feel that they have gotten overpriced for what they are. In the past, we’ve been to Mendenhall, gone up the Robert’s tram.
The whole reason I went with this itinerary. I always recommend a first timer to include this one. The ship gets so close one of the glaciers. The down side, seeing the shrinkage of the glaciers
Victoria is always a lovely little port city to visit. We just walked the 20 minutes to get downtown. You can also take the longer walk and follow the harbor path.
