They charged service fee even you didn't go to the full setting dinning during the whole cruise while ships like royal Caribbean separates service charge fees for the room service and dinning room.

Costa is an Italian run company and is a different experience than many are used to. Even though it is owned by Carnival corporation, it is managed as a separate company. If you understand what you are getting, and are going primarily for the itinerary, you can get a good value.
