We did not use our balcony because it was very cold outside. And at Dawes glacier you get a better overall view of the glacier from up on deck than from your cabin balcony. Pack a winter jacket gloves and hat, even in the summer, because it is freezing near the glacier.

The dining staff made an effort to provide Vegan meals for our nephew. Eat as many meals in the main dining room as finding a seat in the buffet dining room was difficult.

Train ride had to use a wheel chair to get to it hurting my husbands back. To find out that I could have taken my electric cart since they had a lift. It made me very upset.

We used mostly Oceanview cafe for breakfasts and lunches. One has to see when it is open because if you came there on your own schedule many of food counters are closed and the options for food are minimal.

Only one store in Skagway has lower prices on Ulu knives than this ship's Alaska store but no sales tax on board.

Stay away from the Mast Grill. Cook did not understand English and all burgers were way over cooked. He would not pul off grill until way well done.

Be careful with their food. If anything smells strange, don't eat them. If any bad things happened to you, be sure to get the problem solved when you are on board, even though the lineup is super long in front of the guess relation desk.

Make sure you do not get a room with balcony on the 6th floor, as you will get to look at lifeboat rigging. We complained prior to the voyage and got a much better room.
