Review summary

Overall the cruise was amazing. Couple of hiccups but otherwise almost perfect.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were welcomed enthusiastically and boarded quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The Oceanview Café had the most amazing selection, quality and taste of food. We were always eating!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The only activities that we actually participated in was flower making and coloring. They were good for a quiet down-time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Lewis and Kate were fabulous in the planning and implementing of the entertainment. The entertainment was perfect across the generations. We loved the bands!

Children's Programs

Didn't have children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everybody was so friendly, seemed to truly love their job, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Everything was perfect except for one thing. When we went from our cabin to the 14th deck, we had to go outside to get from the Oceanview Café to the entertainment on the opposite end of the ship. Would have been find if it hadn't been so cold, rainy and windy.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable cabin. It was perfect for two people. It was always kept clean and stocked by our cabin steward. Also had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

Ship tip

Bring your "stretchy pants" because with all of the good food you WILL need them!

Ports of call

Honolulu, Oahu

5 out of 5
We arrived by air the day before our cruise departure and stayed in a hotel. We enjoyed a local luau and visiting the Pearl Harbor museum and displays.

Hilo, Hawaii

There was no cheap way to get from the dock to local food/shopping. We ended up taking a bus to Walmart and walking around the mall there. Not what we had hoped for. We wanted to experience local shopping and restaurants.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

5 out of 5
This port was great. We walked, shopped, ate, and just enjoyed the time off the ship.

Lahaina, Maui

5 out of 5
Beautiful port! We again walked, shopped, ate and enjoyed the time there. We had 2 days there, but the second day we were unable to go to shore because of the high waves.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

3 out of 5
We only went from the ship to the airport. The people at the port were not very friendly or efficient. The bus ride from the dock to the airport was beautiful. I want to go back to Vancouver and spend a few days there exploring.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Very confusing, non-efficient and frustrating. We waited in line for a long time only to find we were in the wrong line - no signs to tell us where to go. The workers at the port were not very friendly or helpful. They also encouraged people to cut to the front of the long line that others had been waiting in for a long time.
