Alaska Cruise

Sail Date: May 29, 2015

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

This was our 12th cruise and we think the food was consistently the best of all our cruises.

The guest speakers (Brent Nixon and Amanda) were exceptional and added a great deal of knowledge of the animals we saw and cities we visited.

The Soltice is a beautiful ship and is well organized for a smaller ship.

The staff were all attentive and smiling, delightful people without exception.

The tendering in Juneau was tedious and took much longer than it seemed it should have. We didn't get to the dock until 2:40 pm for a 2:00 pm excursion.

It was difficult to find a seat in the buffet dining room at peak meal time. We usually ate breakfast in the main dining room.

Ship Quality
Nice design for a small ship.
Food and Dining
Consistently good.
Service and Staff
Our waiter (Giovanni) was excellent.
Brent Nixon and Amanda were excellent.
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
Scenery was great.
Cabin / Stateroom
The room was typical for a balcony room. The robes were a nice touch.
Seattle, Washington
We had exceptionally nice weather.
Ketchikan, Alaska
Typical cruise port shopping.
Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska
Beautiful scenery.
Juneau, Alaska
The long tendering process started the day off poorly.
Skagway, Alaska
Has maintained it's original gold mining aura.
Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska
Victoria, British Columbia
Beautiful city.

The dining staff made an effort to provide Vegan meals for our nephew. Eat as many meals in the main dining room as finding a seat in the buffet dining room was difficult.
