Exceeded Expectations! by KarlaH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

My husband and I planned this anniversary cruise 8 months in advance, so our anticipation level was high. Everything went very smoothly from the check-in process to the disembarkation process. Our stateroom was much roomier than we have had on other cruise lines, with plenty of closet and drawer space. The Millenium had a lovely upscale look and was easy to navigate. She is just beginning to show some signs of age but so am I, so I felt right at home, ha! But the best thing about this trip was the itinerary! The extra time to get to Curacao and Aruba were absolutely worth it! Stunning islands!

Celebrity Millenium 10 Day E Carribbean by RogerU

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We have cruised on Celebrity 4 times now and this cruise had the largest number of children on board than I have seen in the past. The children were well behaved for the most part and added to the family atmosphere the crew was trying to present; I enjoy children and what they add to my life. This was a very nice ship, which provides some amenities not offered on other ships or cruise lines, for example, a therapy pool is provided to all guests at no additional cost and is not part of a spa package only provided at additional cost. On another cruise line we recently cruised on the dinning experience in the main dining room had an unimpressive menu, which after a couple of meals left you looking for something. One of our primary enjoyments that we have and a reason for cruising is an opportunity to be pampered something that is not part of our daily hectic middle class life. This ship had only one novelty restaurant that we did treat ourselves to and provided an opportunity to celebrate our daughters birthday. This meal including the service was well over the top and something I would try to incorporate and make part of the budget for the cruise. With that said the dining in the main restaurant was very good and with excellent menu options, excellent product quality and our extremely nice and attentive waiter, Wilson. Room service is provided and orders can be placed from the room through the television interactive menu were you can make reservations for shore excursions, review your expense portfolio or order an in room pay per view movie if desired. The ship is now about 10 years old and for ships I guess that can be approximately 1/3 of its service life. This ship has been well maintained and what we as guests have access to were clean and in excellent working order. We also took a tour of the kitchen in this was also extremely clean with all the stainless steel tables, appliances and work surfaces including ceramic tile floor. I also have a blackberry provided by the company I work for with service provided by ATT and was able to stay in contact with work through email the entire voyage. We generally dine with the first seating and do enjoy the activities after the meal and on this cruise early dinning started at 6 PM with a typical meal lasting approximately 1.5 hours or something less. We found that there was a lot of time spent waiting for onboard shows (which were excellent) with a starting time of 9 PM. The shows were worth waiting for but I do prefer to turn in a little early and also wake and start my day a little earlier, enjoying the temps and early day activities.

11days in Paradise by KathyK9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean

This was our second cruise with Celebrity. The food and service in the dining room were exceptional but we found the buffet to be ordinary buffet quality food. The quality of the entertainment was mediocre. We went to the shows but they just did not meet the high expectations we have come to expect from Celebrity.

Relaxing --- not! by MA10401737

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Ports are great-- ship ok. Overall staff is going through the motions --- not really caring--- sense of the ships crowd. Food poor -- Service GREAT -- Pools/hot tubs average -- Spa nice but rip-off. Nickle and dime-ing through out . SCRUTINIZE YOUR BILL and go to customer relations desk before the last day: they will say its too late to reverse charges. ASK FOR CASH REFUND.

A piece of heaven! by DonnaR9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This was the first time on the Millennium. For the age of this ship - it was beautiful. We had sailed on the Constellation (the sister ship) three times but the Millennium looked new! It was meticulously clean, the service was excellent and the food was scrumptous. We even went to the shows most nights. They varied the shows by bringing in different entertainers - pianist, comedians and singers. It wasn't the same Celebrity cast every night. I love sailing on Celebrity Cruise lines - they always makes me feel like a "Celebrity". Their exceptional staff were always working hard to make my vacation wonderful! I can not say enough about the dedicated and professional staff on board the ship.

The ship was modern and clean and not too big- we would never do a cruise with 6,000 plus passengers.

Celebrity Millennium Cruise by PatriciaM9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We have cruised before but this was the best ever! The ship was elegant and impressive. The concierge service was top notch. We enjoyed the high standard of personalized service and the friendliness and professionalism of every crew member. We honestly felt like celebrities as the name aptly implies. The food was outstanding, alot of seafood, which we love! The overall experience was fantastic and everything was done to please us as passengers. The captain walking around the ship made it extra special. The brunch was far beyond our expectations. The itinerary was super as well. We had the best cruise ever and will highly recommend to others.

celebrity millenium by JanisP

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean

my father-in-law passed away while we were on the ship and the guest services helped us so much. from getting us airline tickets home from the next port in about 10 minutes to helping with the luggage and getting us to the airport. the concierage was absolutely wonderful. they even let us return a few excurisions we had prepaid for. this ship is basically for people from 60 and older. the cruise director was terrible. only saw him at the shows. not much to do on the ship very boring after dinner.

Compared to other options very good but not great. by Chaserx

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I took this cruise in 2009. At that time, the Millennium class was the top of Celebrity's fleet. But today it's more average compared to other options. The similar Summit is their Caribbean greyhound. But so is the Equinox which is the newer Solstice class. Which today I prefer more.

Fantastic cruise through the Panama Cana by PollyD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

The Millennium is a wonderful ship. Our room was fabulous with a terrific balcony view. Our waiter, Dominic was top notch. The Maitre de' was outstanding---visiting our table every night. The food needs to be looked at. It was not the best that we have had on other cruises. The ship's officers were not very visible. The itinerary for the Panama Canal was great with a port then a day at sea. Going through the canal is an unforgetable experience.

Spectacular and Memorable Cruise by CharlesB4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We took the Southbound cruise from Seward to Vancouver. From the moment we arrived we where treated to a level of luxury that we have never experienced, even better than some of the luxury hotels we have stay at prior to this. The entire crew was very pleasant and helpful with all our accommodations and requests. We will be booking another cruise with Celebrity either on the Millennium or the Equinox. We just wish we had done the Cruise Tour, as there was not a lot of Wildlife to be seen during the cruise.
