Dealing with Celebrity off the boat was painful. Their corporate number was useless and rude, and their website buggy and often misleading or incorrect. Suggest using only the travel agent or the team on the ship.
Once on the ship, things were great for me. Blu made Aqua class worth the extra money, even if some of the other “extras” weren’t honored.
The itinerary, even when a port was removed, was great. Antarctica was perfect.
I would recommend this cruise to anyone that would like to see the unusual (penguins) and everything else that it took to get there. I would not mind doing it again. The first time is to see the things that it has not been seen prior, the second time is to review what you didn't registered the first time.
It was an unforgettable experience going to three countries with some of the world's most unique cities at the most interesting time of the year. We had done several Celebrity cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean before and some with other cruise lines. Celebrity remains our favorite because of the excellent service and food.
I’m a pretty experienced cruiser like over 40 cruises. This whole trip was weird. I am unhappy with Celebrity because the majority of issues are on their propulsion issues and their lack of accountability.
I will think long and hard before another Celebrity cruise which is sad as they have been one of my favorites. Again, the food and service were excellent as was the entertainment.
Overall, one of the best cruise experiences ever for us (15+ before). Good mixture of nature and cities.
Ship and service was excellent. Food in Luminae superb. Most land excursions (all by celebrity) were well executed.
Lovely cruise ports, excursions and cruising to an area of the world I had not seen. Ship was nice sized, but aging and showing her age. Ships crew, service, food, & entertainment were excellent. However, Celebrity Cruise Line nickel and dimes you for everything--does not even provide water on excursions as other cruise lines do.
I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THE EXCELLENT JOB PAOLA PRICE FROM AA CRUISE RESERVATION AGENT DID FOR US. SHE WAS OUTSTANDING. SHE WILL BE CONTACTING US AND KEEP POSTING US OF EVERY DETAIL OF OUR RESERVATION UNTIL THE DAY WE DEPARTED. PAOLA DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB.
We loverd the beauty of South America! MickeyLive was on board and his Beyond the Podium presentations were so very helpful in identifying things to watch out for on shore (places to go, things to do, wildlife to look for). He also had get togethers at sunrise in the Constellation Room (11 forward) when there were items of interest that he could point out. So much natural beauty and wildlife on this trip!
Entertainment wasn’t the best but that was the only thing we were disappointed in.
Glad we went and saw such an amazing place as well as unexpected new places off the boat. Met a couple on board a became friends and shared much with them. Glad we did it once so now to figure out our next vacation.
My wife asked lots of people what they paid. We found that we were on the high side.
Needless to say we are not too pleased.
Why is Cheap Cruise sending this survey. I thought we were to receive one from Celebrity.
I wanted to do this itinerary for a long time and I was not disappointed. I would consider doing the reverse from San Diego ending in Vancouver simply because British Columbia has so much to offer. But the US ports of Seattle and Monterey also have many beautiful scenic things to do. If this is on your bucket list, check it off and make your reservation (but not before I do...I want a cabin on the reverse cruise :) )
Going in September was a plus. The weather was great and most of the shops nd the ship were running 50% off sales or better. Loved how the captain set the ship for both sides to view Hubbard glacier. Everyone need to experience Alaska at least once.
