I would think that the services would be the same throughout the ship, for example ice cream should be available on the classic and premium packages at the ice cream as well as t the buffet and water in the room shouldn't cost $5.50 in the room and be free everywhere else.
It's definitely worth the investment to get a package deal which mine included beverages, tip & gratuities, on board credit from Delta Skymiles. Pre-select seating with my group of 6 to avoid being placed as a table of strangers.
The buffet was fair, it was the same thing everyday. My wife did not like eating there. The 1st night at the dinning area, my wife had gotten food posioning, and had spent 36 hours in the room recovering. So we basically ate at the resturants that you pay aditional for.
Pre pay your gratuities so you can get "select dining" that way you don't have an assigned dinner time, and can be seated any time during dinner service. We never had to wait longer than 20 minutes even without reservations.
Exercising on board on Deck 11 was much easier to do between 5:30/6-7pm, as there was basically no one around during those hours (most people ate earlier). I also loved doing a circle around the whole ship--stem to stern--by way of the stairs to Deck 12, which gave some good step exercise.
With Celebrity Select dining, our wait for a table wasn't too long (we never made reservations), but you may have to wait a little longer for service once seated. Tip the bartenders and make friends with them. It will work in your benefit!
We were able to move easily when we were not a good match for our dining companions at our first seating - just ask the Maitre'D at the restaurant. Don't try to call them as they do not always answer the phone.
I enjoyed the select dining option. At times that line was longer especially if you did not have a reservation each night. AquaClass allowed free access at any time to the spa's steam room - that was the best. But special access to Blu but you still pay for your meal? Why?
Have cruised on Holland, Princess, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean - This particular itinerary and cruise experience is just right for a first timer. Highly suggest to spring for the few extra $ for a balcony !!!
