Bring good shoes, you will be walking a lot. Eat at JiJi or Italian for lunch on sea days for free. Ride the Skyride either on day 1 or if you stay on ship while in port. Anytime dining, never had to wait for a table. Also use the Carnival HUB app. Its was so useful for the duration of the cruise.

If you don’t have kids, and want a quiet atmosphere around your room; book on the spa level or Havana club. Very quiet & peaceful.

First time we have chosen anytime dining. It was a correct choice because of all the excursions.

To sail the Vista! It's a beautiful ship! Our next time will be in one of the Havana cabins. We loved it!

Once piece of advice would be to relax and take it all in. There are so many different activities for all age groups so there is definitely something for you on board.

The cruise experience has declined due to the lack of expectation of the ship. Travelers come to the dining hall in house slippers and football jerseys. Smoking seemed unchecked and the ship had a funky smell. The best part of the trip was when you were able to leave to go into one of the ports. Very blue collar and the ship looks 10 years old not 2.

I would say go for it. It’s a great ship with an even greater staff.

If you want to sail on the Vista get a Havana cabin so you can enjoy the outside Havana bar and pool with minimal crowds. Also the inside Havana cabin was the same size or bigger than the extended balcony Havana cabin for about half the cost. Of note there were lines every where on board so be prepared.

Totally enjoy yourself, go to each restaurant and enjoy all the different foods they have and just have fun, fun, fun!!

If you have motion sickness buy the bracelets they really do work. Also make dinner reservations ahead of time so you don’t have to wait in line.
