Review summary

I don't think I will be traveling on Carnival again. The food was horrible and the organization was never there. Ship was dirty and overall a bad experience.

Embarkation

I asked for a wheelchair to board and when we finally got one almost two hour later, we were taken into the terminal pass security and dropped off at another waiting area that had over 60 people waiting for wheelchairs. We decided to walk slowly to embark which caused my mom to be in bed for over a day because of the long walk.

The food at the lido restaurant (buffet) was really terrible. The choices were not many and the taste of the food was poor. Even for Carnival's standards the food quality was poor and disgusting. Many passengers were making comments about the food and how they had gotten sick. In our party we also had people that got sick because of the food.

Same scenario from embarkation, had to walk and because of the poor organization on Carnival's part we lost our flight and had to buy new tickets creating and added expense. We are extremely upset over this trip.

Poor review, food was good and never felt sick other than eating to much. Embankment and disembarkment was smooth.

Really?? Carnival food standards are very high and their specialty restaurants are excellent! Even cruise critic who loves to bash Carnival says that the food is very good and that the specialty restaurants are some of the best at sea!

I have traveled with my wife with a wheelchair. We started off using their wheelchairs this can be a big hassle we now have a lightweight wheelchair that she travels with and it is so much easier. The cruise ships do not seem to be prepared for as many people that need wheelchairs I think you figured that out and so did we.

We got off that ship on October 7, never before enjoyed it as much as in the Vista (our previous experience was three cruises in the Breeze, which left us very happy).

You can rent scooters and wheelchairs at the port for the duration of the cruise

Sorry for your bad experience. When my family traveled on the Vista, we had an excellent experience by all in our party. Of course no one in our group needed wheelchair assistance. But the food was excellent in all venues and everything was clean and comfortable.
