Review summary

The excursions were great, seeing the wildlife and scenery of the different countries made the trip tolerable but if you are expecting a quality cruise experience choose a different provider.

Embarkation

If you do the paperwork online it is a breeze, present your passport avoid the picture line and you are on.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Unless you upgrade to the premium restaurants the quality is lacking. The Italian restaurant was excellent though, great selection and very tasty.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The fitness center was excellent and the sky ride was unique. The pools were disgusting to the point that the crew had to scrape the scum off the water so the people didn't eat that for lunch. Smoking was rampant and the casino was so disgusting that you had to hold your breath sprinting up the stairs.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
There used to be reggae bands and regional entertainment, now they have cheapened down to a DJ that screams at you. There was one highlight, a three violin band that was excellent worth the price of admission. The stage shows and comedians were weak and repetitive.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The staff was very friendly and tried to make the best of a bad situation. The room was always spotless and the dining staff continues to be excellent.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
For a new ship, the seats were worn and the carpet showed more than normal wear. Some floors restricted the movement from stern to aft, a design improvement would allow better movement. The staff again had good attention to detail and the appearance met expectation.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Spacey, with a nice view of the passing ocean. They have Miami news options so you aren't totally clueless. Imade the steward was very helpful and efficient.

Ship tip

The cruise experience has declined due to the lack of expectation of the ship. Travelers come to the dining hall in house slippers and football jerseys. Smoking seemed unchecked and the ship had a funky smell. The best part of the trip was when you were able to leave to go into one of the ports. Very blue collar and the ship looks 10 years old not 2.

Disembarkation

If you carry off your own luggage, it is a breeze. They allow you to be the first off (great thing) and you don't have to wait around for your luggage.
