Review summary

We had an amazing time on such a beautiful BIG ship! Love Carnival Cruises, but I think I prefer a smaller ship. Or I would rethink where my cabin would be. So much to do and not enough time to do it! The ports were beautiful, love the magical colors of the waters! Can't wait to go again.

Embarkation

For the amount of people getting onboard, it went really quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Main dining room was always great. We ate at Guys Burgers a couple of times and fantastic! You can eat at JiJi Asian and Italian for lunch for free on sea days, which cost for dinner. Salad in Adult serenity was very good as well as the pizza. I'm not a big fan of buffets and didn't care to much for the dinners. Breakfat buffet was ok, but preferred the dining room. Try to eat in the Dining Room or Specialty all you can.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is so much to do on board we didn't get to do it all. The Skyride is a must. Breathtaking views and not to hard to paddle around track. Pools seemed small and were always packed, so stayed clear. For sure plenty of outside games to do for kids as well.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Saw one stage show, wished we could have seen more, but the performers were very good. Was fun seeing them get the people involved in the show. Matt is a great cruise director! He has so much energy and honestly was pretty funny.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

Waiters were great!! Room Steward was beyond amazing!! In fact ALL of the ship personnel was wonderful, friendly, helpful and a joy to talk to.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Vista is a BIG ship and beautifully designed. Elevators were small and always packed, except on port days. Be prepared to walk or take the stairs a lot. Even being mid ship seemed like it was a long walk to get our coffee, etc. Everything was very clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cove Balcony is wonderful!! Its a hidden treasure. We were almost at sea level and pretty much blocked from direct sun. It was so nice to sit and listen to the waves. I would book a cove balcony again! The outside space was perfect for us! Cabin space and storage was plenty for 2 of us. The room layout was good and cabin was clean. The only issue is the bed was too hard. I would wake up to my back or hips hurting.

Ship tip

Bring good shoes, you will be walking a lot. Eat at JiJi or Italian for lunch on sea days for free. Ride the Skyride either on day 1 or if you stay on ship while in port. Anytime dining, never had to wait for a table. Also use the Carnival HUB app. Its was so useful for the duration of the cruise.

Small port, great shops and wonderful beach. I really like there is a beach to go to so you don't have to spend money on an excursion.

Belize City, Belize

Beautiful!! No excursion, but we did go to the port and do some shopping and had some lunch. The waters are absolutely beautiful!

Cozumel, Mexico

I love this port. So much to do and see. I would like to take a cruise to Cozumel and stay there for 2 days. Its absolutely beautiful!

Disembarkation

We carried our luggage off, which goes so much faster. They have a great system for disembarking.
