Food was okay. Room attendant and cruise director were awesome. The soda and chat packages were awful, definitely not worth the extra few dollars. We had 3 teen boys and we weren't able to keep in touch with them through the paid chat app. Rarely connected and getting messages from hours earlier. The kids clubs were fantastic, all the kids really enjoyed going there and hanging out.

So amazing! We can't wait to go on our second cruise.

This is by far the best cruise I've taken, and I look forward to booking again in a few months.

Overall we enjoyed our cruise and don't regret taking it but the ship does need some TLC and I would reevaluate the age of the ship before booking another cruise.

All in all, for a first time cruise we feel that this was one of the best experiences we could have had. Everything was wonderful with the exception of customer service ( a small gripe) and the food quality ( which was mediocre. Apparently, a lot of cruisers fell ill according to facebook post concerning our specific cruise). We really enjoyed this experience and would definitely do this again.

For a first cruise we had a blast on the Valor ship.

We had a great cruise. There were some small issues with maintenance, but the overall experience was great! The staff far outshined any issues.

Amazing and relaxing trip. Enjoyed my family and friends.

We wanted to give kids a first experience with cursing but what ever they did they asked if it costed more? They were anxious over doing things or even getting a soda. The nickel and diming on this ship was horrible. We bought on soda drink that could not even be used at diner so what was the point? This company is just making money and wonder about the environment with the constant smell of fuel and running of the engine and I hope something is being done about this.

Ship as over crowded and very loud everywhere on the ship. The cabin only had 1 power outlet which caused a problem when trying to charge devices, using curling iron/straightener, etc. Cabin Steward was great, as well as, the dining room waiters. Entertainment was lacking with the exception of the ship shows. The shows were the best part of the entertainment. Lack of activities on at sea days caused everyone to migrate to the Lido deck where it was loud and crowded. Have been on other cruises other than Carnival and the ships seemed to be more stable than the Carnival Valor. There was lots of movement/swaying of the boat without much turbulence.

This was a great 5 day cruise. It was enjoyable, the food and food choices were incredible, the service was topnotch and the value was well worth the price. I hope to take this cruise or a longer one on Carnival again. I'd recommend it to friends and family.

Other than the unsupervised kids, it was great. Please provide better food options for buffet tho.

The spa was over priced for my taste. It was a lovely experience but not for the price. I felt in a constant state of being overwhelmed bc everything was so loud and flashy. My oldest pointed out for a company who has sensory awareness certifications that they had NOWHERE to go for people in sensory overload except your own cabin but if the speakers work in the room even then you don’t truly get a quiet space. Yes the headphones are nice but the library was even loud.

Would definitely do this cruise again but would like to do 7 days AND do more excursions.

Of the Cruises we have been on , i found the staff on this ship to be of the best i've ever seen , she ship had lots to do, was kept clean and the food was excellent . the bartenders while busy not only remembered us personally they even remembered our drinks , and out of all those people they and the room attendant for our stateroom made us feel welcome and at ease the whole time along with all the other staff we encountered along the way. will 100% be back again!!

Cruise was very good. Ship is nice and is very clean and in good shape for its age. Costa Maya was very nice and the pool there is super nice. Lord of photo opportunities. Went to the fish spa which was really cool. Cozumel was great. Went on a dolphin and manatee swim and then hung out at the pool at an all inclusive resort. It was great. Shops were real nice and not too expensive. Carnival tried to make sure you had plenty to do to keep you enjoying your trip

We had a great time. I wish there was more interaction with the cruise director. We only seen him a couple times throughout the cruise unlike past cruises where you would always see them walking about engaging guests. He was a great guy though.
