All in all, for a first time cruise we feel that this was one of the best experiences we could have had.
Everything was wonderful with the exception of customer service ( a small gripe) and the food quality ( which was mediocre. Apparently, a lot of cruisers fell ill according to facebook post concerning our specific cruise). We really enjoyed this experience and would definitely do this again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It went really well.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Surprisingly, the food was just okay. Not bad, nothing really stood out but just okay. The same can be said about the drinks at all the bars except Alchemy. Alchemy had by far the very best cocktails. Nelson was an awesome bartender and I highly recommend that if you want the finest cocktails, visit my friend Nelson at Alchemy.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The fitness center was pretty good. We loved the views in the mornings. On board activities were also pretty good. We visited the art gallery, participatedin bingo, raffles, comedy shows, karaoke, etc. It was a lot of fun.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
So, the DJs had to play from a set list & not really mix music or play to the crowd. We understand this, being family oriented fun. The dance performances were entertaining.
The comedy was very funny as well.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The staff was excellent all around & we really appreciated the friendliness. The one exception would be geust services where we felt things could have been handled differently with regards to Carnival customner service.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was in grand condition. Everything was clean, neat and accessible. We loved the decor and the amenities as well.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
There was plenty of room for the two of us. We really liked our accommodations and would readily choose that again. The only point is that we could tell the rooms were very dated. We looked up the ship & saw that it was 20 years old, and the staterooms showed this. Still very clean except for the odor coming from the toilet.
