Review summary

Ship as over crowded and very loud everywhere on the ship. The cabin only had 1 power outlet which caused a problem when trying to charge devices, using curling iron/straightener, etc. Cabin Steward was great, as well as, the dining room waiters. Entertainment was lacking with the exception of the ship shows. The shows were the best part of the entertainment. Lack of activities on at sea days caused everyone to migrate to the Lido deck where it was loud and crowded. Have been on other cruises other than Carnival and the ships seemed to be more stable than the Carnival Valor. There was lots of movement/swaying of the boat without much turbulence.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Having to wait on the Lido deck for the room to get ready was crowded and loud. Would like to have gone to room and dropped off carry on before exploring the boat.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dinning room was GREAT! The buffets were not good at all.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The days we were at sea, there wasn't enough activities to accommodate all the guest. The lido deck was over crowded and loud. Was not able to relax and enjoy the pool area at all.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The comedians were terrible, the ship's stage shows were really good, the musicians were average, nothing to write home about.

Children's Programs

I had no children with me

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiters were great. They made sure all of our needs were met and went above and beyond to accommodate them. They were very friendly and outgoing. Can't say enough good things about our waiters. Our room stewards were very accommodating as well. We came into a clean fresh room every day. Joel made sure we had everything we needed every day.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The layout of the ship was challenging at times to maneuver. Due to the crowdedness of the common areas, it was hard for the staff to keep them clean at all times.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The comfort and size of the cabin was just ok. The cleanliness was great. Joel made sure everything was cleaned every day. However, having only 1 power outlet in the cabin was a problem. Our cell phones never were fully charged due to having to swap the devices on the 1 power outlet before they were fully charged.

Ship tip

Spend the extra money and go on a different cruise.

So many of the reviews are from people who don't do their research and plan ahead for their cruise. Don't blame CCL for your lack of planning.
