Review summary

Cruise was very good. Ship is nice and is very clean and in good shape for its age. Costa Maya was very nice and the pool there is super nice. Lord of photo opportunities. Went to the fish spa which was really cool. Cozumel was great. Went on a dolphin and manatee swim and then hung out at the pool at an all inclusive resort. It was great. Shops were real nice and not too expensive. Carnival tried to make sure you had plenty to do to keep you enjoying your trip

I had a passport and my boyfriend had a birth certificate and they made us go through different lines and we got separated. Took 20 minutes to find each other afterwards. I was not happy with that. Staff down there was rude and didn’t care. They need to learn manners. They need a better process for that issue.

Thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed your vacation. The inconvenience you experienced because your boyfriend didn't have a passport could have been worse. What if you missed boarding the ship due to a delay in a foreign port? What if he got sick or injured in a foreign port? Either of those scenarios would have made travel home from a foreign port difficult without a passport. In my opinion, all travelers on a cruise ship should obtain a passport. Don't learn the hard way.

Thanks for sharing. I had an issue leaving a ship once. On the way out my wife need to use the restroom so I waited out side and all at once I was told to leave through the exit. I told them my wife was in the restroom then security came holding there side arm. So I left with out my wife. My wife said when she came out of the restroom there was so many security and the seemed very uncomfortable. I know not the same as your issue but I would agree as you leave the ship the staff can get rude.
