Everything was just Ok, compared to Princes, none, Kids had a great time but i thought there would be more to do for teenagers. Staff again just ok, nothing really bad just nothing really good, for first time cruisers its worth the lesser price but i will be traveling on another ship next time. look into all lines before booking, Carnival was the best price though so for the money it was very good....

The main reason I am now looking for a different cruise line is your service desk staff. When I go to them or call I expect to be treated with respect, not ignored. I was celebrating my 50th birthday, I expected to be treated better.

The ship has soooo much to see it keeps you busy the first day at sea just exploring, the entrainment was amazing and everywhere you turn they have something to do.

As I have said - the food at the restaurant "Black Pearl" is very good! Spa has been a great impression on me, but it's a bit pricey

Very pleased with ship and all personnel. Second cruisewith Carnival and third overall and by far this trip rates the highest.

Overall my wife and I enjoyed our recent cruise (23-Oct-11) on the Splendor. It was the second time we've taken this cruise and this ship together. The first was our Honeymoon and the most recent was for our anniversary. We did find our bed uncomfortable, but that is more likely due to the fact that we have a memory foam mattress at home and anything less feels pretty lousy.

It was newer and a bit more spacious than other cruise ships.

This is our first time selling with Carnival and we like it. Beautiful ship, nice and clean dining rooms, nice size cabins. In the dining room metord Dasi was very friendly and helpful made our dining experience Excellent. Our head waiter Stan (unfortunately I dont remember his full name) vas very entertaining, helpful and always was there when you need him. All pools were nice and clean and filled with sea water. Overall we have to say the ship was really impressive, the staff was wonderful. Now what we did not like: 1. We were expecting to stop in Puerto Vallarta, but we understood that because of the whether we could not do it and they took us to La Paz, I do not think this port worse to stop in, there is nothing to see and to spend time. 2. Food was ok, in our previous carouses, not with Carnival, we had better food. 3. The lines in the buffets were very long, and when we got to the food there were nothing to choose from, we had to ask service personal to add some food, I think they should do this without us asking them. I know that this ship had Indian sheaf and he had 5 assistance that were Indian too, I think you should mix them and not to have only one ethnicity.

Everything was very good. I have only one request for the future cruises. The ship should have a weather news or some information about weather conditions.... We are back home and happy that we are not on the water or cruise ship this week....with this weather conditions. I hope that this nice ship will respect the no travel zone to Porto Vallarta and keep all the customers safe .

We had a very good cruise. I wish they would have split up the days at sea better. Made for a boring two days in a row, twice. Overall the service was very good as usual for Carnivale.

Very well organized in every aspect, formal dining, casual dining. Entertainment was excellant.

Ship Quality: tacky decor , very odd layout, crowded elevators, very loud. Dinning/Food: The food was extremely salty. I love salt but even for me was too much. The variety at breakfast was very poor: the same thing everyday. I had the feeling that they were 'recycling' dinner into breakfast. Lunch was okay but way too crowded. Dinner in the dining rooms could be a hit or a miss. I would not recommend ordering seafood from the menu. We tried lobster, fish and shrimp, and all of the dishes were pretty bad. I liked their steaks and chilled soups. Stateroom quality: It was good with decent bathroom. The stateroom attendants were great hard working people. Ship staff quality: Guest services was bad: long lines and bad attitude - I witnessed someone being threatened to be kicked off the ship in Mexico(!) by one of the guest services clerks (I think that says enough about how much this cruise line cares about its customers). Security checks were very poor. All they cared is customers bringing alcohol on board. One of our friends passed security with a pocket knife but I got pulled aside for a bottle of wine. Overall the goal of the cruise is to rip you off as much as they can. Entertainment: It was not that great. The music on the ship was way too loud. You could not find a space on the ship without having to listen to a "concert".

The ship is very very nice. Lots of amenities, lots of activities, lots of space. The Cloud 9 Spa is wonderful

We recently cruised on the Carnival Splendor to the Mexican Riviera. The ship is new, clean and well maintained. Functionally it was great. The bad part was the decor. I don't have a clue who designed it or, worse yet, approved it. That being said, it did not detract from our ability to enjoy ourselves on the cruise. Beds were very comfortable and the living quarters of our Spa Suite were great.
