We had a wonderful time on the Carnival Splendor!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the shows were pretty good as well!!

My family had a great time at the ship, food, activities (comedy shows were awesome), even the room space was better than what we anticipated.

We delayed taking the first cruise fearing we all were going to get sea sick but this was not the case, nobody had any issues.

Visited different  ports and the whole process was really smooth.

Our room steward was extremely attentive and helpful.  Our room was freshened every day without fail.  The food in the dining room was mostly good...the "southern fried chicken" was horrible...I could not even eat one bite of it, as it was just kind of a long bone with dried up, overcooked skin on it.  I heard the same from about two other passengers.  Overall the food was good, though.  The buffet food could use some improvement, but for the most part was ok.  I think the reason the food was cold, etc. could be waiting so long in lines.  We started having breakfast in the Gold Pearl, and that was quite good.  The ship was clean and well taken care of.  We never did meet the captain, though, and we would have liked to.  The ports were fun, although we did not like getting off in Jamaica and having everyone on the island in your face trying to get you to buy.  We will pass on Jamaica next time.  I still love Grand Cayman, and this was my second visit there.  Also my second visit to Cozumel and I enjoyed that, too.  That's about it.  Overall the trip was fine.

We had a great time. Lots to do on and off the boat. I don't eat beef or pork. Wish their were a few more food options but other than that,cruise was awesome. 

We found that the cruise was very nice with a ship full of wonderful staff. They made all efforts in trying to please everyone,  Thank you for a great trip.

I have been on several cruise lines. My daughter and I took a Carnival cruise in August and had a wonderful time. Because of the great time we had, we decided to stick with Carnival for this trip. Unfortunately it was a major disappointment. The cruise director for Splendor isn't familiar with her job title because there wasn't much in the way of entertainment. On all the other cruises I have taken there has been around the clock music or activities of some sort, but this ship didn't have much. Even the club didn't open until 11 and it closed at 2.They had 2 comedy shows that repeated. Even the staff didn't seem as friendly or as helpful as the other cruises I have taken. I loved the ports of call. Jamaica was annoying because the vendors start carving your name into wood carvings and I didn't want to take anything free. But once you open your wallet they make you feel bad and want more money.

We had a very nice cruise! We were able to visit Jamaica, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. We had time to relax and time to do excursion. I highly recommend the jeep with snorkelling excursion in Cozumel. The food at the dining room was excellent. We had chosen the open time diner and I recommend this choice. Our stateroom butler was exceptional. We have loved the personal attention in our room. We had 3 pools. I recommend the pool in the center, it is a larger pool. The Shows at night were more than great. The rock and the 80' hits were international class.

had a great time with friends and the places were great didn't want to leave the ship was clean and nice. did not like the time of wait for disembarking had to wake up at 7 am and didn't leave the ship until 10 am.

Looking forward to my next cruise with Carnival

We had a good time, the food was good, the service and staff were perfect, the ship was clean and in great shape being 12 years old, with the food & drinks all good. The only downside was not being able to escape the smokers.  While Carnival provided certain areas for smoking, we had a balcony stateroom with some neighbors abusing the Non-smoking balcony areas, which prevented us from using our balcony very much.  Also the casino allows smoking so while we wanted to spend some time at the black jack table, this was not possible for us with the stagnate smell of smoke through-out the room.  Other than the smoke  issue we had a great time, and will do it again maybe on a more restricted smoke free ship.

My husband and I just returned from our fun-filled honeymoon.  The crew and cruise director Chloe was outstanding.  Chloe was very approachable and was everywhere on the ship.  We enjoyed the staff so much and I can't say thanks enough.  During dinning we had an awesome staff however some of them could be a bit pushy on serving too fast and impatient while trying to focus you to make quick diner selections.  MJ was WONDERFUL and made great wine selections.

Very nice ship, with water slide, mini golf, adult outdoor area. All the staff was very friendly, and attentive. Cabin steward was great, ask to have ice bucket full for the night.....never missed a night, he was very friendly.

Our trip on the Carnival Splendor was a fabulous time.  The on-board staff were very friendly and informational.  This has been my 15th cruise and the majority have been with Carnival cruise lines.  I would like to thank Brenda () for helping us with our cruise arrangements.  Awesome Job!!

The food was very bad. It was horrible and had no flavor. I was very surprised that even the salad bar was horrible. The veggies were frozen. I would cruise again yet just not with carnival.  They charge extra for everything and certain things aren't even worth the extra money. It was also very hard to understand the stuff since they didn't really speak English.  

We enjoyed our stay at Carnival Splendor for a week. Nice and friendly staff. Delicious food. Clean ship from top to bottom. Would cruise on it again. Thanks a lot. 

The layout of this sister ship to the Costa Concordia (sank off Italian coast after hitting rocks) is awful. The ship is not digital even though it launched in 2008. Most notable is the Lido deck buffet, going port to starboard instead of bow to stern as other ships do. This led to a much smaller space for everyone to get food, as well as a lower variety of dishes. After 10 cruises, this was a first (and a last). 3 separate dining room areas made walking the ship good excersize I didn't bargain for. decks 3 and 4 (usually just 1 deck) don't pass through, making getting to these dining rooms difficult at times. But, the food was very good everywhere. Dining room service mixed. I asked for a bagel not toasted and was told not possible because they are frozen. (?) A heavy handed waiter poured coffee continuously thru my coffee cup onto the table and he was not trained well. The temperature on the ship was very cold, and I went to the outdoor pool to warm up. Very long lines at the Deli on the Lido deck (because of the lack of food). Two middle nights there was no entertainment but for the marriage game (ugh!) and Hasbro game. The comedy night club had too few seats and folks stood 6 deep at the back of the room for a comedian.  Several elevators did not work throughout the cruise. The night table next to the bed had a large door; no top drawer.  The huge "Robusto Bar' on deck 4 was never used! Could have had entertainment there. ANYTHING! Narrow doorways everywhere made passage of 2 folks a challenge at times. The central Atrium area was underwhelming at best. To finalize, I got a 1 liter bottle of water as a gift by being a returning traveler (I used to go to a Captain's party, get a cocktail & snack). I paid $$$ and got a plastic bottle of a liter of water. What a diss! The ship was just plain awful. the ports of call were fine.  

The itinerary was just great. If you want to add to the experience, but don't want the hectic pace, take the tours of the individual islands offered by Carnival. they're about 2-3 hours long with stops for shopping and sightseeing in the best locations and you won't be exhausted when you get back. This is a beautiful, well maintained ship with an eye to details, cleanliness, and a great attitude by the staff. The food was wonderful ( cap the night off by having a hot freshly made Ruben sandwich on aft deck 9) and the entertainment abundant. We do 2 cruises a year, many of them on Carnival ships. Admittedly,some have been sadly lacking but this one is certainly not one of them by any stretch. I would recommend this trip for anyone and can't say enough good things about this beautiful ship and it's fine crew. I can honestly give this ship an easy 5 stars. 

The Carnival Splendor Cruise was much better than my last cruise, this time we were on deck 2 window and the cabin is bigger and better. I don't have any complain about it.

This is our third cruise with Carnival Splendor. We enjoy service at the ship.

Nice children Water Park. Very good stuff in the SPA and Carnival camp.

The cruise was wonderful and smooth.  The food was good and the speciality restaurant was excellent but just one to choose from.  The only negative I have was that  the ship was freezing all the time in all areas.  Had to wear a jacket or sweater all the times.  Very, Very COLD!
