Review summary

The itinerary was just great. If you want to add to the experience, but don't want the hectic pace, take the tours of the individual islands offered by Carnival. they're about 2-3 hours long with stops for shopping and sightseeing in the best locations and you won't be exhausted when you get back. This is a beautiful, well maintained ship with an eye to details, cleanliness, and a great attitude by the staff. The food was wonderful ( cap the night off by having a hot freshly made Ruben sandwich on aft deck 9) and the entertainment abundant. We do 2 cruises a year, many of them on Carnival ships. Admittedly, some have been sadly lacking but this one is certainly not one of them by any stretch. I would recommend this trip for anyone and can't say enough good things about this beautiful ship and it's fine crew. I can honestly give this ship an easy 5 stars.

Cabin / Stateroom

Roomy and clean with a nice view. Don't be cheap and then be disappointed, always spend the extra bucks for an oceanview.

Ship tip

The two first run movies on deck 9 at the large screen "Dive In" theater are a nice way to cap off a relaxing evening with a ' boat drink' and a bag of popcorn. Go early, the deck chairs fill up fast.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Use Uber to get to and from the cruise terminal. (You can easily download the app on your phone ahead of time) The cabbies rip you off and will take out of town visitors who aren't familiar with the city on a "joy ride" to increase the fare which is already exorbitant..

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Don't forget the sunscreen here or you'll pay dearly for the rest of your cruise.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Go to the top of the mountain and have a banana Daiquiri....it's worth the trip

San Juan, Puerto Rico

So much to see and do here you'll wish you had three days. Remember it's HOT and HUMID this close to the equator drink plenty of water!

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

The most beautiful stop of the trip.Take the Carnival group tour to get the most out of your few hours there.

I love the positive reviews because most of us are reading these because we will be on the ship in the near future some of us hate the negative reviews because what they are complaining about is the little things that happens in everyday life and the bad things I'm sure Carnival took care of the problems so it won't happen again
