very good experience, recommend this cruise by martha65

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my second time on the pride, {first time in 2009 in the summer , and second in january 2013 in the winter }, i think i like summer better. I enjoyed meeting other people and listening to their stories of cruiseing. My husband and i have cruised with carnival since the early 80's, i can remember when the food in the dining room was real good , and you didn't have to pay extra for it. We are cruising again july 2013 on the sunshine , my children and grand children are coming, they picked the cruise, looks like fun!!!

warmer than home by jima46

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

First time travel on Carnival. A much needed respit from the cold temps in Baltimore .Ccruise was as expected for late January travel. Seas were a bit rough but ship handled most of it with ease. Sailed on the Pride whose interior decor was somewhat unexpected. We had always heard that Carnival was the Fun Line and expected much brighter colors. Ships crew were fantastic and very interesting to talk too. Our cabin staff could not have been more generous with their time and expertiece. Cabin was immaculate all through the trip. Food was somewhat disappointing and did not compare with other cruises lines. Selection was limited and hours of operation during port calls was confussing. Formal dining menu was also limited although the food was satisfactory. Stayed on board during the trip as the 3 ports of call are BORING, too say the least ( we had already visted each during previous cruises) All in all, it was a nice getaway. Probably look at other lines before we book with Carnival for future cruise plans.

Boring by CarnicalPride

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

If you don't smoke, drink or gamble this is not a cruise line for you.  There were no activities to do during the day, unless you were at a port.  The staff members were nice, except on the last day. My husband and I will not be planning another cruise anytime soon!

First Time Sailing on Carnival Ship by JanJim

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first time sailing with Carnival and would definitely recommend Carnival to others. The Pride was very clean and all crew members we came in contact with were courteous, friendly, and very professional in making our vacation a memorable experience. We especially found sailing out of  the Port of Baltimore very comvenient and would consider this debarkation point in future cruises.

Again, we were very pleased with the overall experience of the Carnival  Pride and the Port of Baltimore.

We had a Balcony, even with the cooler

weather in the north it was a pleasure to

sit and take in the sites of Freeport.

The ship is nicely laid.  Food fantistic

Very good experience, recommend this cruise by LARISSAHYLAND

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The unfortunate part of the cruise experience that we've got into winter wind cold storm and could not dock in Freeport and Private Island was canceled as well. We still had a great time on a ship and were treated like a family with care and respect. My favorite experience was in a Serenity deck for adults only – great relaxing lounge area. Also need to mention friendly crew members, gym with beautiful overlooking view of the Ocean, dinner in a dining room sitting with great menu choices, night club/lounge called Beauties with great interior design and DJ playing awesome latest hits and of cause the most comfortable bed pillows and blankets, just like at home.

fabulous fun cruise by millioncruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This cruise was wonderful. The days at sea were packed with things to do. We had great shore tours. In florida we went to Coco Village and in Freeport we went to Garden of the Groves. Shows were spectacular. The food was too good and the service was spot on. We relaxed in the Adult only hot tubs and lounged on the serenity deck. The ship was decorated for the holidays and they even made it snow in the atrium. I can't say enough about how much fun we had.

Needed more activities.  Live poker games with a live dealer. Food wasn't as good as on past voyages. But overall it was enjoyable cruising with The Pride of Carnival.

How I njoyed my 2nd Trip on the CARNIVAL PRIDE...... by meowluvkat45

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The Carnival Pride is a wonderful Ship it have loving STAFF and they reallly make you feel at HOME. The FOOD was VERY GOOD.. I would like 2 add my dislike as well they need 2 up grade a little on there deck areas and inside seating areas maybe put some flat screen around with MOVIES on them so people can sit in the seating area with comfort...The food is good dont get me wrong but it can still use a little more defferent varitity. I also feel that when they take them picturs of you when you get off at every port at least at the end of your cruise you should be able 2 pick out a least 2 pictures of yourself 2 take home as a gift from the ship.....they have more then enough things 2 do on the ship but all and all had a wonderful time....

Shore Excursion by CrusinPopeye

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Cruise was good. Problem I had was with the shore excursion I booked thru .

My Sail & Snorkel excursion on Nov, 14,2013 was cancelled by Carnival due to high winds.

An announcement was made that all water excursions were cancelled because of this.

I assumed that also applied to my excursion through .  I felt uneasy about

this all day and decided to go over to the Customer Service Desk & ask questions.

The girl behind the desk told me the announcement applied only to people who bought

excursions from them.  I accepted this & left it at that; only to find out later that she should

have informed me they could allow me to make  a courtesy call to notifying them of this

cancellation that they () weren't aware of.

Great time on Carnival Pride by goldenlover

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We enjoyed our cruise to Port Lauderdale Florida, Nassau and Freeport. The sailing was rather smooth. This was our first time going out of Baltimore and there were no problems. Parking was easy. Getting on the ship went smoothly. Food was excellent in the dining room and on the Lido deck. Shows were entertaining. The butterfly room filled up quickly and we only saw the comedian once. Our Room was large, we had a balconey. Bed was a little hard. All the staff were friendly and would do anything for you to make sure your vacation went well. We would recommend this trip to anyone. It was a good time to get away before the holidays.

Carnival Pride - Bahama Cruise - October 20, 20113 - poor experience not recommended by thetwojays

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Very disappointed in food.  It was the same pastry and rolls all week long.  The same can be said of the Lido deck.  There was not much variety in the foods.  If you didn't go to the dinning room and chose the Lido deck for dinner the food was the same as lunch.  Also, room service for breakfast was continental only whereas other cruise lines gave you a full breakfast.

There were no seminars or learning experiences on board, just trivia and deck games.  Othere lines were much better in this area.

On two occasions the used glasses in our rooms were not replaced.

The dining room experience was much better on other cruise lines, the waiters talked and made you feel welcome.  The waiters on this ship, although nice and tried to please, they seemed to have too many tables to take care of.

extremely pleased by wellrested

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The price was right, the destinations were not that important, just needed to relax and unwind. The entire experience was delightful. The cabin with balcony was perfect for my wife and myself. We were greeted by our cabin service team immediately upon arrival to the room, given some notice of the safety time, and had a bite to eat. The service in the dinning room was fantastic and the singing and dancing, by the staff, just made it fun. Other Carnival employees started to know our names and greeted us by name after the first day.

The shows were okay, not great, the adult comedy, was fantastic. The other time killers were okay, if not a little hokey, but all in all very entertaining.

The entire cruise was more than I expected.
