Was a very disappointing cruise.... by BobnTom

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

Was a very disappointing cruise. Cancelling princess cay and already having a then rushed dolphin excursions on Nassau, to a shortened stop in Freeport. We didn't get 1 beach day.

We sailed on January 28,... by sandastorm

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

We sailed on January 28, 2018. Our ship was delayed from day one and never left port until after 9 pm . We we're never served lunch on the ship the first day , so money out of our own pockets to feed our kids and then had to sit in a restaurant for three hours as we had already left our hotel because we had to and still couldn't board our ship. Dinner was late that night as well. The captain sailed our ship at top speed for six out of seven days trying to get back on track , but never did . The movement of the ship because of this was beyond awful . The private island was missed completely and we were sent to Cape Canaveral Florida instead and had to pay for extra shuttles to get off that island and across the bridge that we couldn't walk across. Again having to spend more money on feeding our family and not on our private island with lots for the kids to do and the free BBQ lunch that was included . Buffets we're always empty and service was very slow . To get a clean table was next to impossible , I cleaned dirty tables off a few times so our family could sit to eat . They put our family at a table for eight when we were a table for ten every single night and expected us to squeeze in . The service was awful from Carnival when one of our friends had a real bad emergency and to disembark on Nassau and they treated her awful and we're not compassionate at all towards her or the issue. Our shore excursion was cut almost in half because we were late to our second island. They split our group of ten up multiple times on exersion and expected us to accept it ( that didn't happen ) I could go on and on but I believe you have gotten the real idea of how bad the service and ship on The Carnival Pride was. Sailing out of a northern port will never happen again for us ever !!!

I've been on Carnival, Norwegian... by MadameC

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

I've been on Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. I've been on bigger, more modern & prettier ships than the Pride yet it's officially my favorite ship! It's small and easy to manage. You won't spend your whole vacation trying to figure out where everything is. I can honestly say that my husband and I did not eat lunch or dinner ONE SINGLE TIME at the buffet. The day of embarkment we went to Guy's Burger for lunch till our room was ready. After that first bite, it was over! We ate there every single day. We even skipped the MDR for dinner twice when we weren't interested in that certain days menu. So please lose about 5lbs before you board. You'll thank me later... We've already booked for next year, 300+ days to go but it's worth the wait. Don't forget to bring a power strip. Defintely book a balcony room. It's worth the extra money. We also purchased the bottemless soda package but there's juice available during breakfast and lemonade/iced tea available all day. I suggest purchasing per drink. I didn't drink $60 worth of soda in a week. We sailed the 3rd week of January so there wasn't too many children or college students onboard. It was mostly an adult crowd. It really was fun & lively when it needed to be, and relaxing and quiet when it needed to be. This may be different during the summer/ spring break/holiday months which is why we choose to cruise late January. The only complaint is standing on line almost an hour for check-in at the terminal. But once you get onboard, you quickly forget your sore feet. And once you get to Guy's Burger, you're already thinking of your next cruise!

Back from our 14 day... by shipmate1202

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

Back from our 14 day journeys cruise, had a great time. Everywhere we ate had good food, our dining staff (Marudi, Claudia and Sam) were awesome. Our cabin steward (Joe) did a fantastic job. The islands we visited were beautiful, we did see a lot of damage at St Thomas and St Martin from the hurricanes, the weather was magnificent, showered for 10 minutes in Grenada and that was it. Thanks Carnival for another wonderful cruise.

I enjoyed most of my ports. I did not enjoy The Carnival lack of customer service. I took this cruise for the ports I knew the service would be lack luster at best.

Awesome cruise,excellent vacation!!! by anaward25

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was a wonderful vacation, great ship and good service overall. To all those who complain about the food or the lines, guys, This is a budget cruise. If you wanted no lines on the Lido deck and big room, take a Cunard or Princess cruise. This was an affordable and awesome vacation!!!

Fantastic cruise, staff was awesome... by Gilligan051

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

Fantastic cruise, staff was awesome and could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. Food was great, drinks were excellent, we booked our next cruise before we left the ship for the same time next year. Only complain was the temperature of our cabin was too warm, and in speaking with other guests this was an issue in other rooms as well. We will bring a fan next year, also, there is only one power plug so bring a power strip, it’ll make things much easier for you.

First Cruise = Addicted by dthomasjr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my first cruise and I can say without a doubt it will not be my last. There truly was not a single thing that I did not enjoy on the trip. Nothing beats waking up in the morning and not seeing anything but ocean, or getting rocked to sleep at night, hearing the sound of the ocean as you fall asleep. My list could go on and on, but without a doubt not only will this be my first of many cruises, if will be my first of many cruises on the Pride.
