Get your declaration papers for customs early on. We purchased quite a bit of alcohol and you can only bring back 1 liter per adult in your cabin without declaring through customs. We spent over an hour waiting in line at guest service to get a single piece of paper. What a waste of time. Had we known about this ahead of time we could have enjoyed another show or gone to dinner earlier.

Traveling with a family, make sure the sign up for Carnival Hub. We were able to chat with everyone at all times and it only cost $5 per person for the entire cruise. Well worth the money. Make sure to checkout your players club money before leaving as it doesn't automatically get transferred to your sign and sail. They don't tell you this.

Make sure you attend one of Ben’s shows! Definitely try a cheeseburger! It would be nice if some of the bars offered separate lines for kids ordering non alcoholic drinks vs alcoholic drinks!

The ship is huge, carries about 4500 passengers. While I never felt squished, pack your patience. All those people are doing many of the same things you're doing, including standing in line for dinner etc. I'm mostly calm so not a lot bothers me. Just enjoy yourself. Any day at Sea is better then a day at work.

Patients with the Mongolian Wok. Early Dining works much better than your time dining. I saw the crowds lining up at the Southern Lights Dining facility. Having early dining at the Northern lights was a breeze since they only accept assigned tables. Just walk in and sit.
