Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Service was excellent, food was good

Lido Marketplace

4 out of 5

Can always find something to eat quickly. Wait lines where mostly short. Food was good overall.

Pizzeria del Capitano

4 out of 5

Pizza was ok. should have a bit more selection on toppings. Wait lines were quite long in the evening.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Difficulty finding lounge chairs on any sea day. Hot tubs were always packed. Pool was refreshing. Water slides were fun but seams pinch the back a little. Sky course was always fun and used a lot with the kids. Was nice to see the basketball court was always in use. Mini put was fun.

Mini Golf

5 out of 5

1st thing we did when we got on the ship. Was always someone there and wait lines were mostly short. Don't forget the few holes at the entrance of the skycourse.

Water Works

5 out of 5

Slides are fun although, as little bit of a bigger guy, the seams of the slide sections pinched my back on the way down.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Playlist shows were ok although didn't have a lot of content. Musicians were always good especially the 3 violin players in the atrium (we always stop so see them play). Comedy club was excellent.

Seaside Theater

5 out of 5

Great to kill time when waiting between shows. sometimes hard to find any seating when a good movie was playing.

Spotlight Lounge

5 out of 5

comedy show was awesome. Zoey was the best waitress.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Kids enjoyed club O2. Hung out with friends mostly the entire crews.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Always great service from everyone.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was always clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Bed were comfortable and always clean. Our room had a noticeable smell of septic but not enough to really complain.

Ship tip

Traveling with a family, make sure the sign up for Carnival Hub. We were able to chat with everyone at all times and it only cost $5 per person for the entire cruise. Well worth the money. Make sure to checkout your players club money before leaving as it doesn't automatically get transferred to your sign and sail. They don't tell you this.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
We walked Biscaine harbor with all the stores. If near the port and don't want to pay for a restaurant, eat at Whole Food Market, good food and reasonably priced. Dolphin and International Malls were both great.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic Did not visit port

Ship did not port at Amber Cove due to medical emergency of a passenger.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
Excellent shopping. Island tour was great. Did not book through the ship and got on one of the private tours. only cost $100 for 4 and had great views of the island.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Old San Juan and fort is all walking distance from the port. Put on your runners and tour on your own. Beautiful and scenic.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Beautiful island. Book Gibbs Cay Stingray Adventure and it was just amazing. Tour guides were great and friendly. They made sure everyone had a chance to encounter the stingrays and showed us how to clean an conch. guided snorkel was awesome.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy again.

Did they have any band with brass instruments and saxophone playing in the atrium?
