Ship Legend was a great ship. Loved the decor. Staff was great except for our room steward---did not service room as I have had before on carnival cruises. Could not get ice unless we asked him to get it for us. Never refilled without asking --- need ice on cruise!!!!

Grate crew

We had a nice balcony stateroom on deck 8. It was comfortable, clean, and for the most part, quiet. The breakfast and lunch buffets were OK, and the dinners at Truffles were generally pretty good. The best dining experience was at the steakhouse($30 extra charge per person). There is a well-equipped gym which we took advantage of. We found the beverage prices to be high. The cheapest bottle of wine is $25. So if you like wine with dinner(like we do), and maybe a few cocktails here and there, your bar tab will add up quickly. The shore excursion prices are outrageous, with the good ones generally running $100+ per person. We found the staff to be courteous and attentive. Overall, we had a good experience, but in the future, we will likely book an all-inclusive Caribbean resort and have just as good(or better) a time for a lot less money.

The ship was beautiful & luxurius,however the food was not as good as before ,to much cut back.

The ship was spotless and the service was top notch.

We had a wonderful time. It was my families first vacation together. The shows were amazing. The staff was very friendly and always remembered our names and family member traveling together. The animal towels and evening bed turn down was a wonderful surprize. Overall I would highy recommend the Carnival Cruise lines, and will use them again next year, when I travel to Alaska.

We cannot say enough about or cruise on the Carnival Legend. The international crew of the Legend are all very professional and know their jobs. The service was excellent, the shows fabulous and the Cruise directors were well versed in the thier knowledge of each port. They went out of thir way to be helpful. Our waiter was the best and made dinner an enjoyable and at times fun expereince. We enjoyed him so much we asked for this very popular man each time we ate in the dinning room. He was so requested that at times we waited just to be in his service area. He is a definate asset to the Legend. This was a first cruise for myself and husband and what a first cruise it was. We especially enjoyed the Legend's new adult only Serenity deck with it's hammocks, chaise lounges pool and hot tub. A great get away spot.

Overall, ship was ok. If you want even slightly healthy food options, do not travel on this boat.

Since this was our first cruise, my wife and I came into the experience pretty open minded. We were cruising with another experienced couple, so we did have expectations regarding food, service, etc. What we found: PROs: Buffet was good, when it was available and if you were willing to wait in line. Room size was much larger than expected. Very clean ship. Decent shows. CONs: The dinners in Truffles were not good, and service was very slow. Just about everything except the food, shows, and room service cost more money. Drinks were expensive and were constantly pushed by multiple staff members. The whole cruise felt like a marketing scheme more than a vacation.

The ship was okay, gawdy, but okay. The food was a big disappointment.

Very clean, well kept ship, friendly staff. Lines were not often a problem and there were enough deck chairs. Great children's area. Pools were disappointingly small and tended to get crowded. Waterslide was so shallow that kids kept having to scoot themselves down it. Overall, however, a great cruise and one we would consider doing again.

The crew was above and beyond my expectations. Everywhere you turned, someone was asking if you needed anything. I expected there to be more swimming areas on board, but there were only 2 small general use pools that were constantly full of people, standing room only. The adult only space on ship was fairly small as well and there were lots of couples on board that were very affectionate with each other in the adult only pool space. The on board entertainment was fun, lots of options such as magic shows, dancing, singing, comedy, etc. The only negative experience was with the spa. My travelling companion and I decided to get massages on the first full day at sea and she was treated very poorly by the staff. She was taken into the room late and only got a 40 min massage but still had to pay for the full 50 min. Also, she asked for focus on her back and got 25 min of scalp massage. Other than that experience, the entire trip was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

too many people inside that size of ship

Ship was beautiful and very clean. All the staff were very sweet and helpful. The food was much better than I expected and I really liked the "own time" dinner plans.

It was a beautiful ship and I was appauled that someone scratched on the mirrows in the elevators. Disappointing.

The staff was excellent, the service was great - except for soft drinks. They should be available for poolside service, etc. Very inconvenient to have to walk to a bar to get a lowsy soft drink. If you're a boozer, I guess the service was exceptional. The dining room was awesome. I was nervous about the size of the cabins, but we were very comfortable in a state room with king bed.
