A: I'm on the Legend right now heading to Costa Rica, and she doesn't have a giant movie screen outside as some other cruise ships do, but offers in-room TV selection of movies that play on two channels throughout the day.

Q: The other day I seen something on You-Tube about the Carnival Legend, that I thought was cool. You bring 10, $3.00 gifts for people on the ship. They are to represent your state, you find 10 other ppl that are doing it and exchange gifts. You do this outside of there door, so when you come home you have a small gift. Has anyone else done this? Seen this? Would like more information.

A: Door to door gift exchanges started on Carnival post Covid when they couldn't allow Meet-n-Greets. These are usually arranged on the ship's rollcall fan page at a popular social media site. Rules vary based on the organizers past experience. Some do... 6 people to a group, some do 21 to a group, but 11 is the most popular. Sometimes also done as a postcard, shot glass, or rubber duck.See More

A: We sailed the caldera. We chose it to avoid having to wait in line for the tram. The one called Greek Feast also avoids it, but you sail to Oia, take a bus ,and get to see the villages. It, too, avoids the long waits for the tram.
Answered by kfiero on October 29, 2023
A: We sailed around the caldera. We did this to avoid having to get down from Fira by cable cart or the steps. There's also a tour called Greek feast that takes you to Oia. You catch a bus ,and get to see some of the towns before they take you back to o... ya and back via a boat, so you avoid the tram as well.See More

A: Just an FYI, the fridge is not very cold. Ask your stateroom steward for a bucket of ice if you want certain things cold.
Answered by HeavySeas on October 2, 2023
A: Yes, they look like mini bar refrigerators, but they don't get super cold, but they do the job. The best way to make it get as cold as possible is to use something like a washcloth to keep the cabinet door propped open.

Q: I haven’t been to Half moon cay in a few years. I rented a clamshell the last time. Besides that one option. Is there additional seating space on the beach if you don’t rent one from this specific location? Or is that it? Thanks for any assistance

A: Plenty of free loungers but very few near shade. You are permitted to bring a sun umbrella for port use, just can't use it on board. Otherwise using your Cruise Manager at Carnival.com rent a clamshell or cabana before boarding. Same day on island re... ntals will only be for the clamshells if any are left.See More

A: lol, formal night - elegant night - same thing! on a 7 day cruise, there will be 2! usually on the sea days!
Answered by crusin4gramma on March 14, 2023
A: On 7 days cruise which nights are the elegant nights?
Answered by cherluvs on March 14, 2023
A: Mo formal nights on Carnival, just Elegant Nights. The dress code for the MDR & specialty restaurants will be business casual. The Captain's reception line on 1 of the Elegant Nights is at their discretion. Cruises 5 or less days have 1, cruises 6-8... days have 2, and Journey cruises have 2 Elegant Nights + the 80's Throwback Gala night (little dressier but still not formal attire)See More
Answered by maryred on March 14, 2023
A: @crusin4gamma... there is a difference between Formal nights, with it's required suits and cocktail dresses, or tuxes and gowns, to Elegant nights with it's khakis w/ Hawaiian shirts and glammed up sundresses or fancy tops w/ capris
Answered by maryred on March 15, 2023
A: Which exact nights depends on your itinerary. Usually the first will be the night of the first full day at sea, so for most ships but not, all that's Day 2. The second will be your second to last seaday or your shortest in port day where the sail aw... ay is 5pm or earlier. It will never be the last night on board unless it is a special holiday, for many ships on a week long cruise that's Day 6.See More

A: Yes there are. Jerry and I used the gym when were on her back in May. Best wishes and blessed cruise!
Answered by joyandjerry on August 16, 2022
A: There were four or five the last time I was on her but 2 were out of commission.. seems that not many folks use them or at least early in the mornings when I am there. I like to finish my workout with three miles on the recumbent bike.
