We had a good time, BUT..........
Carnival Legend Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Sail Date: September 04, 2011
Ship: Carnival Legend
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 5 years ago
Review SummaryWe had a nice balcony stateroom on deck 8. It was comfortable, clean, and for the most part, quiet. The breakfast and lunch buffets were OK, and the dinners at Truffles were generally pretty good. The best dining experience was at the steakhouse($30 extra charge per person). There is a well-equipped gym which we took advantage of.
We found the beverage prices to be high. The cheapest bottle of wine is $25. So if you like wine with dinner(like we do), and maybe a few cocktails here and there, your bar tab will add up quickly. The shore excursion prices are outrageous, with the good ones generally running $100+ per person.
We found the staff to be courteous and attentive.
Overall, we had a good experience, but in the future, we will likely book an all-inclusive Caribbean resort and have just as good(or better) a time for a lot less money.
