I generally love cruising, but with this experience I will be flying to my next vacation getaway. It was ok, but way too expensive to not have a great time.

First cruise back after pandemic. We didn’t know what to expect. Read reviews, some good, some bad. We were on vacation, we were just glad to be able to cruise. We had the most anxiety prior to the cruise hoping for 4 negative covid test results. After that, we didn’t care much what happened. All the crew members on the ship were amazing. First sea day brunch in the MDR took awhile, but our waiter apologized immensely. Not his fault, we understood. We had nowhere to be, didn’t bother us any. Food was good everywhere we ate. We tried every restaurant we could on the ship. Everything we had was delicious. The shows we attended were great. The only thing that disappointed me was the casino. Maybe better luck next time. Other than that, we had a great time connecting with our kids and spending time together. All the services we received were great.

Everything was perfect! The ship was beautiful with lots of onboard activities, the food was very good at all the outlets, the crew was over-the-top friendly and a pleasure to be around. We really needed all the laughter, smiles and good times!

Generally, we had a great time. Enjoyed time on ship and things to do. Enjoyed the food. Entertainment could have been better. Cost of drinks and plans seemed a bit high, for what seemed could have been reasonable and still adequate for Carnival to make profit. Was not happy we missed 1 of 4 ports, but understand weather is an unknown factor. Otherwise, generally had a good time.

I always have a good experience on Carnival. Between the activities and entertainment you should not get bored.

Not the same anymore - service not what it used to be

Not a cruise I would repeat or recommend. I talked my sister and her husband and a few others to go on this as 1st time cruisers. They were not impressed and couldn't understand way we said cruises are awesome. My reply was- we got a bad one- sorry. And told them this is NOT the norm..there were 21 of us in our group...with 6 new

Did not get to go on any excursions did not get to take pictures did not get to enjoy the ports. Had been looking for to this cruise for over a year we loved Horizon before this was 36 year anniversary trip

Thought it was great overall, but could make some slight changes such as providing more entertainment on at sea days, stop allowing people to leave their dishes outside the door and put an iron in the rooms so we all don’t have to share.

Great week away.. Happy to finally be cruisin again.. Hope staffing improves

The biggest issue we had with this cruise was there was little to no air conditioning on the ship.

My trip was amazing! Would recommend to others! Would enjoy more options for onboard entertainment

Cleanliness is great but layout and design is not friendly. Not impressed with ship. Food was just ok.

Had fun on the ship and at the ports. Piano Bar was entertaining, especially watching the groupies! Shows were top notch and comedy was great 18+! Breakfast & lunch was much better than the dinners, unless you went to specialty restaurants.

I wasn't feeling well, Alex @ Guess Services was awesome -- he checked on me to make sure I had eaten - he also offered complimentary Internet service & Movies from on demand- I received a credit for future cruise Room Service didn't disappoint -- they were awesome !!! ** The only suggestion I would make hold off on the waiving of the Napkins in the dining room at this time -- Why? - Covid may be droplet or air borne. I was sitting at a table where the guy was using the napkin for napkin and wiping his runny nose. they started to waive in the air once the entertainment started.

This is our second Carnival try and we went on for the kids - it was their choice. They were a little disappointed with the slim activities. Also shows aren’t geared to them , not one. We love cruising so we had many positive moments aside from our “cons”. The food on Carnival is a huge deterrent for us. They do need to get better ventilation in the casino or make a non smoking. We love to go but the cigarette is so bad we just were showering after each visit and had to clean our clothes. Also, it would be nice to see more tween and teen based activities and shows. Overall it was a nice cruise and poor or okay food is better than cooking ourselves. There was not a lot of attention to Covid. There were shared condiment bottles, no wiping going on, even peanut butter in a bowl open with a reused spoon. It was icky. No one masked in common areas . We did at shows and in crowded places but no one else did. We did so in transit . Kids came home with Covid so it was definitely from the ship.

I enjoyed the cruise and the ship however I prefer the smaller Carnival ships I feel the attention is more personalized. Horizon and Vista (which I have been on) kind of reminds me of the old airline Peoples Express, meaning no frills....elegant night there were not table cloths on the tables, It seemed that the dining room felt more like a mess hall than a festive occasion, too much hustle and bustle with the servers and the dinner felt rushed.

The Horizon was very nice, we'll go on this one again.

We did have a rough day at sea but took bonine and it was great! Overall a great cruise and great ports of call.
