Review summary

I enjoyed the cruise and the ship however I prefer the smaller Carnival ships I feel the attention is more personalized. Horizon and Vista (which I have been on) kind of reminds me of the old airline Peoples Express, meaning no frills....elegant night there were not table cloths on the tables, It seemed that the dining room felt more like a mess hall than a festive occasion, too much hustle and bustle with the servers and the dinner felt rushed.

They need to change the menu. I have been eating the same menu on Carnival cruises for almost 10 years!!!

On port days they should have things open such as the rope course. I have been to many of the ports over and over again and I enjoy remaining on the ship however everything is shut down

Entertainment

The 1 show we saw was muted due to rough seas so the entertainers only sang. The other show which was Latin was not my "cup of tea", the show times cut too close to late dining, no late late comedy shows.

After the first night in the main dining room the matre dae decided with out asking us to change our table. We liked our original table. It was a bit of a battle to get a table we liked.

I agree with most of this. Especially the shows cutting so close in the evening. We had anytime dining, but like to eat closer to 2nd seating. After the 1st few days we realized we had to go earlier in order to see the show and the comedian. We ended up at the buffet most of the time bc the main dining room just wasn't timely for us. Thanks for sharing!

To bad. We love the horizon and have never had a bad time on any carnival cruise. Many.. We always are thinking of improviseing. The employees work there butts off...
