60th Anniversary Cruise - Best Family by KarenF13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Our group of twelve booked this cruise as a celebration for my parents 60th wedding anniversary, and have all agreed that it was a great way to honor such a special occassion. The ship is beautiful, very clean, and the best staff we have experienced while cruising, although we have no complaints about the staff on former cruises, this particular staff were a notch above, added personal touches and were so friendly, we loved talking with them and getting to know them a bit personally.

Great Time by BarbaraM11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Overall we had a good time. I wish someone would have announced what the high and low temperature was going to be for the day on shore. This would help with knowing how to dress for the day.

Boston was great, so was New York by AliceD1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Ship personnel couldn't have been nicer. Itinerary was awful and I would rate their food as poor. Food served has really gone downhill. All desserts tasted like lard.

A Great Cruise by RoxanneB1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The help on the ship were incredibule! Igede our steward, Janell our head waiter and his assistants, Fernando and Kelston were all so friendly and courteous. The ship was neat and clean and the accomodations were fantastic. The food was outstanding! I enjoyed the salmon and the mahi mahi. And the desserts! The chocolate melting cake was superb!!! All of the staff was so sweet. They took time to be sure we were all comfortable and that we had everything we needed. I would recommend this cruise of the eastern seaboard to everyone. It was worth the trip to travel the Carnival Glory. And trust me, it was GLORY!!!

A pretty good cruise by MarciaR

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

We enjoyed many features of this cruise, especially the musical entertainment. We have just enjoyed other ships more so will not be back on the Carnival Glory. It just seemed lackluster in comparison to other cruises we have taken.

"A great cruise!" by BrendaJ3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This was the first cruise for my husband and myself. We were sooo impressed with the service, food and entertainment. There were many activities on board. I especially enjoyed the spa. We meet other nice couples, as well. We would definitely book another cruise with Carnival.

Carnival, Canada from NY by Tomf111

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

We booked "last minute" - 30 days prior to sailing. Ship and wait service were great. Entertainment and food were ok. All requests for better dining options(early vs late) and cabin re-assignments were denied. We bought the "category guarantee" thinking that we'd get a good cabin and a nicer one if the ship was not full. (The dining staff said we were about 85% full. Guest services said 100%). We got assigned the worst OV cabin on the ship - lowest deck, furtherest astern - the last cabin before entry to crew quarters! Despite calls to Carnival prior to leaving and advice from our agent as to how to request a better cabin assignment once underway, we were tersely denied. Net: Never purchase "category guarantee" if you want to have any control of where you're located, or if you want to be anywhere near the heart of the ship. And if you prefer any of the early evening activities on board, you must have the early seating for dinner. Next time, we'll book early.

On the first day to shore, it is so confusion to us that didn't provide any information. when we came back to ship in late afternoon, some buffer food is not fresh and not much selection.

Running from "Earl". by JoeP9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Overall the ship was average. We had some rough weather which made the trip a bit uncomfortable at times. I was extremely disappointed that there were no ship maps for the trip and we had to find things on our own and never even knew that some places existed. It was very difficult to navigate the ship not knowing where things were beforehand. It was difficult to get from one end of the ship to another due to the layout. We found ourselves walking through dining rooms to get from forward to aft on some decks.

An amazing cruise! by WendyZ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This is my first cruise, and I am very satisfied with my cruise experience! It was like living in a six-star hotel, but with activities, entertainment, and food included. The ship is huge and the staff are very nice and helpful.

Vegas + Club Med on water by MelissaW2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This was my first and last cruise. Breakfast: typical breakfast fare, but the food was truly terrible aside from the fresh fruit. Lunch: there is nothing positive to say about lunch. The food was fried and disgusting. The endless lines of other passengers with our plastic trays was embarrassing. The ship was clean and the staff was friendly, however many many of them did not speak English. The shows are put on in earnest, but they are lame and many you have to pay to attend. The ship nickel and dimes you for EVERYTHING. We were greeted with smiles and cocktails and then were shockingly asked to sign for the welcome drinks. The best part about the trip was the other passengers.

enjoyable cruise by RosaK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

everything was good except the pools. they were so cold even though the weather was warm. Everyone crowded in the hot tub. Kids were jumping, screaming, and playing which wasn't appropriate for such small space. Only if the pools were bit warmer, it'd been perfect.
