Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The staff were friendly and available to all your needs, they really work around the clock. Love the room service came in handy since I was very ill on the trip. The ship is beautiful and there is something for all ages. Love the fact kids can interact with other kids in their own club.

Quit Smoking Cruise 06/07/2008 by MichaelM5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Carnival Glory is the ship of choice for the Quit Smoking Cigarettes Organization smoking cessation cruises. It has two itineraries which encompass both the Eastern and Western Caribbean. The ship is beautiful and the staff is excellent. We will sail on the vessel again this September to both ends of the Caribbean with the Western Caribbean sailing on September 20th and the Eastern leg following immedialtely after for those who wish to stay onboard and sail for two weeks. Quit Pals will receive group rates and all travel will of course be booked through BJ's Travel. Snorkeling the Belize Barrier Reef is going to be an awesome experience and is billed as the primary Quit Pals outing. The Smoking Cessation Program is provided free by the Quit Smoking Cigarettes Organization. We have found that BJ's Vacations offers the best value for our group.

Great Cruise by AdelaA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We sailed on Carnival Glory to Cozumel, Honduras and the Bahamas. Unfortunately, we did not go to Belize due to a storm that hit the area one day prior. My first impression which I consider very important was the expedient check-in. The person who took care of us was friendly, knowledgeable and took excellent care of us in a an expedient manner. The best check-in process I have experienced in my 8 prior sails. The room steward and waiters were also very friendly. did not get to see much of the maiter'd but the waiters made up for it. My only disappointment was the number of people who walked into the dining areas without shoes or some form of cover-up. To top it off some were obese, shirtless and not very clean, sweaty and wet. Not only that, they picked up food with their bare hands and ate while in line. I think Carnival should post a sign similar to those in eating places..'NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO SERVICE'. This kind of behavior turns your stomach because someof these people put stuff back after picking it up. Also, there was underage drinking and gambling without any kind of control by security. The ship and cabins were very clean and our room steward was johnny on the spot!!!!

We made it a wonderful cruise by DawnB8

Ships is somewhat worn, and the staff in general seem to be tired. I have been on this ship for 5 times now and it's almost as if everyone has been on the ship since. I must say the casino manager, Claudia was personable and fun.

I traveled on the carnival sensation previously, The carnival Glory ship is bigger and better than that ship. also more pools. Very clean and friendly crew.. I would love to be able to spend the night in a port, need more time to see each island.

WOWZA!!!!! by TaraT1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was amazing, beautifully maintained and SO much to do. There was plenty of space and we never felt crowded. Our stateroom was impeccable and the decor was fun! My only MAJOR complaing was that our ship was FULL OF SMOKERS. I have cruised with Carnival before, and can never remember there being so many smoking areas. You could smoke most anywhere, except the rooms, but most people smoked in their rooms anyways. As a non-smoker this was very bothersome to me, and towards the end of the cruise it hindered my wanting to utilize the nightlife due to the smoke. Next time we cruise this is something that will be more important on our list of things to look for in regards to the ship. I have cruise on the Paradise before as it was a completly NON-SMOKING ship, and remember that being awesome!

Relaxing Cruise by AT492

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The food was great. The buffet in the red sail restuarant had a nice variety and desserts were amazing. The food in the dining rooms were of better quality, so I suggest skipping the buffet tables for dinner. The service from the waiters was amazing. They were kind, attentive, and surprisingly quick at bringing food. The food in the dinning rooms was heavenly! Everything was extremely fresh and well prepared. There was always a good selections of meals to choose from and you could order as much as you pleased. I did find that there was a lack of enticing activities. If you like laying out in the sun all day then this is not a problem for you but I was quite bored sometimes. Especially during the day. I am not a big gambler nor do I play bingo, so there was not much to do. At night there are Las Vegas style shows in the Amber Palace, but the male singer left much to be desired. The other music venues were good, but nothing amazing. I remember there was one good singer at the sing-a-long bar but he only knew so many songs so it was pointless to go back everynight.

We enjoyed the cruise, my husband and I. We had three stops, One was cancelled due to hurricane damage Costa Maya. The Ship Glory was a pretty ship, but this was the only time I felt the ship rocking. We have sailed on over ten cruises. Two with carnival, The others NCL.

Never again during spring break by ChristopherM2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

At 110,000 tons this was a medium-sized ship. However, it was easy to get around, and everything was clean and in order.
