Carnival Glory overview

Carnival Glory might not have the shiny new bells and whistles as the latest ships to hit the sea, but if you’re looking for a ship that can deliver in entertainment, dining and onboard activities for all cruisers, then Glory will not disappoint. Launched in 2003, Carnival has continued to invest millions in the improvement of this Conquest-class ship adding the Funship 2.0 upgrades in 2012 receiving new dining venues, bars & lounges and entertainment. The most recent improvement to the Carnival Glory cruise ship came in a 2017 dry dock which is highlighted by the WaterWorks aqua park featuring the Twister slide, AquaTunnel, and kids area.

As most have found when sailing on Carnival Glory, finding something to do during your days at sea will not be a problem. With bars and lounges like RedFrog Rum Bar and Blue Iguana Tequila Bar, you can soak up the Caribbean sun with a drink in your hand. While the ship can be loud and active at times, adults can find a little peace and quiet in the adults-only Serenity Retreat. Get into the action on the mini-golf course or with one of the onboard games, or watch that action at the SkyBox Sports Bar. You can either wind-down or keep the fun going when the sun goes down. Enjoy one of many comedians at the Punchliner Comedy Club, enjoy a show at Playlist Productions or try your luck at the casino. This colorful ship has something for everyone. As a kid-friendly ship, young passengers can find age-appropriate fun and activities at Camp Ocean, Circle “C” and Club O2. The whole family will love Suess at Sea.

Carnival Glory cruises will set sail from New Orleans, LA with itineraries to the Panama Canal and throughout the Caribbean. Both shorter cruises from 4-5 days and longer cruises are available to book.

With this being my first cruise, I didn't know what to expect. We enjoyed everyone we met and the staff we had contact with were awesome.

The best view is the front of the ship, that most people don't know about. Go to deck 7. Walk toward the front of the ship. You'll need to go through one of the hallways where the rooms are, but keep walking to the main front until you can't go any further. Look to your left and go out the door.

If you want quiet dining atmosphere when you eat at the Lido buffet, go up the stairs to the Fish and Chips restaurant which few people seem to know about.
